Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, in March said he plans to step down in 2018 leaving many Angolans wondering about the country's political future. Dos Santos gave no reason for his decision and did not name a preferred successor.
Chinese President Xi Jinping held a welcome ceremony for Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos in Beijing on Tuesday. Xi and Santos reviewed the guard of honor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army at the ceremony.
