Christian theology is the study of Christian belief and practice. Such study concentrates primarily upon the texts of the Old Testament and the New Testament as well as on the historic traditions of Christians. Christian theologians use biblical exegesis, rational analysis and argument. Theology might be undertaken to help the theologian better understand Christian tenets, to make comparisons between Christianity and other traditions, to defend Christianity against objections and criticism, to facilitate reforms in the Christian church, to assist in the propagation of Christianity, to draw on the resources of the Christian tradition to address some present situation or need, or for a variety of other reasons.
Systematic theology as a discipline of Christian theology formulates an orderly, rational and coherent account of the Christian faith and beliefs. Systematic theology draws on the foundational sacred texts of Christianity, while simultaneously investigating the development of Christian doctrine over the course of history, particularly through philosophical evolution. Inherent to a system of theological thought is that a method is developed, one which can be applied both broadly and particularly. Systematic theology will typically explore God (theology proper), the attributes of God, the Trinity as espoused by trinitarian Christians, revelation, biblical hermeneutics, the creation, divine providence, theodicy, anthropology, hamartiology, Christology, pneumatology, soteriology, ecclesiology, missiology, spirituality and mysticism, sacramental theology, eschatology, moral theology, the afterlife, and the Christian understanding of other religious systems and philosophies.
William Lane Craig (/kreɪɡ/; born August 23, 1949) is an American Christian apologist, analytic Christian philosopher, and theologian. Craig's philosophical work focuses primarily on philosophy of religion, but also on metaphysics and philosophy of time. His theological interests are in historical Jesus studies and philosophical theology. He is known for his debates on the existence of God with public figures such as Christopher Hitchens and Lawrence Krauss.
Craig established an online apologetics ministry, ReasonableFaith.org. His current research deals with divine aseity and the challenge posed by Platonist accounts of abstract objects. Craig is also an author of several books, including Reasonable Faith, which began as a set of lectures for his apologetics classes.
Craig is the second of three children born to Mallory and Doris Craig in Peoria, Illinois. His father's work with the T. P. & W. railroad took the family to Keokuk, Iowa, until his transfer to the home office in East Peoria in 1960. While a student at East Peoria Community High School (1963–67) Craig became a championship debater and public speaker, being named his senior year to the all-state debate team and winning the state championship in oratory. In September 1965, his junior year, he converted to Christianity, and after graduating from high school, attended Wheaton College, a Christian college, majoring in communications. Craig graduated in 1971 and the following year married his wife Jan, whom he met on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. In 2014, he was named alumnus of the year by Wheaton.

A 2 hour video of the 19 point essay "Tithing is Not a Christian Doctrine" The video is showing me, Russell Earl Kelly, Ph. D. with no material displayed. Every statement has something important and challenging. Novice editing makes it choppy in a few places. It is far from perfect but well worth the view. Friends, I am not opposed to financially supporting churches and the advancement of God's kingdom. However I am opposed to supporting churches using the false doctrine of NT tithing instead of better New Covenant freewill offering principles. You can get this video on DVD from my website: http://www.tithing-russkelly.com There you can also find the book: Tithing: Should the Church teach tithing? - A Theologian's Conclusions about a Taboo Doctrine May the Lord Jesus Christ...
Hank shares with Bobby the importance of essential Christian doctrine.
Bible Truth: Scriptures clearly teaches, against division within the Christian faith. This is why the Bible makes it very that there is only one Church, and that church is the Body of Christ. Also clearly in scripture, there is only one faith, and one leader of the faith, and that Leader is Christ Himself. And every believer should be on one accord with one mind, under one inspired authority, "The Holy Spirit of God" It is impossible for traditional Church leaders to be inspired by the Holy Spirit. For all of their doctrine is contrary to the Biblical Doctrine that Christ taught in scripture. These points will be proven in this lesson with scripture. The Gospel that Christ taught in scripture was not Sabbath keeping, Christ never taught that all African descendants were Hebrews. Christ did ...
