Beyton Parish Council still do not want to allow the public to film their meetings. They felt it necessary to call the police. Go to www.beytongeese.com for more information. Please forward this on to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles eric.pickles@communities.gsi.gov.uk, he needs to see the state of Local Government.

I went to film the public part of Essington Parish Council, as Westcroft residents were making a complaint to the Council about their lack of concern for our residents, unfortunately only the first third of the complaint was mentioned, before the Chair ordered the meeting dissolved due to me filming. This was 6 minutes into the meeting which started promptly at 7pm. Apart from stopping after we left the room, starting to film the meeting appearing to continue indoors when the blinds were drawn and the door locked so we couldn't go back in, and muting the audio to remove someone's private address from being heard, it runs as it was, stopped again as the councillors continued to talk indoors until 7.48pm when they left, as seen by my watch.
