Russell Crowe forced to ‘bear hug’ and boot US rapper Azealia Banks from party
RUSSELL Crowe has found himself at the centre of another hotel scandal in the US, this time after an altercation with controversial rapper Azealia Banks.
The Oscar winning actor restrained the 25-year-old after she took offence to the music he was playing in his Beverly Hills hotel suite while entertaining a bunch of friends, according to TMZ.
Banks was the plus one for another rapper, RZA, and the incident took place after she allegedly threatened to cut his guests and watch them bleed.
“You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***,” America’s TMZ has reported Banks to have told Crowe and his guests.
The Australian actor is understood to have remained calm throughout the altercation, stepping in only when she alleged reached for her glass. He then grabbed her in a bear hug and carried her out of the suite before notifying security to have her removed from the premises.
It is the latest of many scandals involving Banks, who is known for her temper and for speaking out on African-American civil rights issues.
This year she endorsed Donald Trump for the US Presidential election campaign only to later retract her earlier tweet.
“I made a major mistake endorsing toupey-toupee. Womens rights are important and we must protect them,” she wrote on Facebook.
