Melbourne SMC welcomes approaches from volunteers with current first aid qualifications and other medical or care training who wish to learn more about or get involved in the global street medic movement.

We require a minimum Level 2 First Aid Qualification (Apply First Aid or its equivalent) to act as a street medic at events; if you do not have one, don’t stress! Not all street medic work is based around first aid and there is plenty of opportunity for you to become involved.

We also welcome those with qualifications in Mental Health First Aid and non-violence and activists with training qualifications and/or experience who would be willing to help the collective upskill.
