USS Constellation may refer to:
In modern astronomy, a constellation is a specific area of the celestial sphere as defined by the International Astronomical Union (IAU). These areas mostly had their origins in Western-traditional asterisms from which the constellations take their names. There are 88 officially recognized constellations, covering the entire sky.
Thus, any given point in a celestial coordinate system can unambiguously be assigned to a constellation. It is usual in astronomy to give the constellation in which a given object is found along with its coordinates in order to convey a rough idea in which part of the sky it is located.
The origin of the word constellation seems to come from the Late Latin term "cōnstellātiō," which can be translated as "set of stars", but came into use in English during the 14th century. A more modern astronomical sense of the term is as a recognisable pattern of stars whose appearance is identified with mythological characters or creatures, or associated earthbound animals or objects.

Tour of the USS Constellation, a US Sloop of War built in 1853. It was the last sail only warship designed and built by the US Navy. It was crewed by 265 officers, sailors and marines. It was armed with 25 guns or cannons . During the slave trade it intercepted slave ships and freed their captives. During the Civil war it served the union by enforcing the blockade and discouraging raiders. Today the USS constellation is a floating museum in the Baltimore inner harbor. My dedication to the ship and all who have served aboard the USS Constellation (CV-64) "Connie". Produced and edited by a Navy/Constellation Veteran, who served on board Connie for three tours of duty, 1987-1990. I am merely an amateur in videos, but I hope the sounds, sights and visuals bring you back to your time on board this wonderful ship. It is meant to honor the Navy, and the sailors, but especially the men and women who have served their country proudly aboard CONNIE! . A salute to you, my brothers and sisters.
Completed in 1960 at the Brooklyn Naval Shipyard, the Constellation ran multiple missions during the Vietnam War, and later, in the Middle East. On Aug 8, 2014 it was towed out of Sinclair Inlet, Washington State to be scrapped in Brownsville, Texas. Here is a video of the beginning of the journey. RIP- Connie

In 1999 I was asked to spend a day onboard the USS Constellation CV-64 in full operation 400 mile due East of Sydney, the highlight was the arrested landing and catapult take off but everything in between was "Fully Sick!!!! The electronic interference was huge so video sometimes jammed and constant humming but I didn't care.

This is a video made from the movies I took in Vietnam in 1968 when I was a Communications Watch Officer on CTF 77 Staff stationed on the aircraft carriers USS Kitty Hawk and USS Constellation.
Flight Deck. Filmed on USS Constellation in 1987. Video also uses archive footage from years prior too. Great footage of VF-21 and VF-154 as well as some of the other squadrons on board. Former CO of VF-21 is the Air Boss, Cmdr. Southgate
Last voyage of the USS Constellation... It is currently being towed to Texas from Bremerton, Washington where it was decommissioned Next stop, the scrapper's torch... after a trip around Cape Horn, as it is too big to fit in the locks of the Panama Canal... This is the point where the ship was being towed past Waterman Dock, and it slowed to less than one nautical mile per hour, awaiting a slack tide and passage of the M/V Sealth, a car/passenger ferry to pass before entering Rich Passage at the end of the footage...
The first strike against North Vietnam on 10 May 1972 was launched from three US carriers, which operated in the Gulf of Tonking area, namely, USS Coral Sea CV-43, USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 and USS Constellation CV-64. Constellation, being the farthest south on the „Yankee Station", started launching around 07:30 AM, Coral Sea followed some 20 minutes later, and ten minutes later Kitty Hawk. The first of the main force to launch had been tanker planes, the EKA-3Bs and KA-6D, which now climbed to 15.000 feet and circled their mother ships. Closer to the Vietnamese coast, a full array of other aircraft were already in the air, including one E-2Bs each from Constellation and Kitty Hawk, one RC-135M from Okinawa, one U-2 from Thailand and an elderly EC-121D „Disco" radar picket plane of the 552nd ...
