Emergencies

The TUPD responds to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days week. If you witness or become the victim of a crime on campus, call the university police immediately at 410-704-4444 or by pushing the red emergency button on any yellow or blue light emergency phone. Fire and medical emergencies should be reported by calling 911. If you receive a bomb threat, call the police immediately and then complete a bomb threat report (PDF) to give to the responding officers. Fire and medical emergencies should be reported by calling 911 from any telephone. The university Police Department has staff on duty and is available to assist 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Towson's Emergency Resources Guide offers instructions on how to respond to weather emergencies, active shooter situations and a range of other situations. We encourage the campus community to read through the guide, register for the campus's emergency text alert system and print and carry an emergency pocket guide (PDF) for easy reference.

Towson maintains a strict policy on violence and threats of violence.
