Towson University in Northeastern Maryland offers transfer students the flexibility
to pursue a four-year degree after they complete an associate’s degree at a community
college. Located on the grounds of Harford Community College, the new building offers
state-of-the-art classrooms, labs and educational resources.
Academics
A Towson education will offer you a challenging undergraduate academic experience
in select programs, including business, IT, education, nursing, family studies, psychology
and sociology. Working closely with distinguished faculty members, students will have
opportunities for research, internships and employment opportunities within TU in
Northeastern Maryland’s strong network of area business partners.
Admission and Scholarships
Towson University offers academic scholarships for full-time students transferring
from two-year institutions. Amounts vary from $1,000 to full tuition and fees. To
be considered, qualified applicants should submit an application and official transcripts
for the fall term by December 1. To indicate a desire to attend the TU in Northeastern
Maryland location, a student should specifically submit the TU in Northeastern Maryland transfer application for admission.
An Admissions representative is on-site at TU in Northeastern Maryland nearly every

Towson University also offers a need-based grant to students enrolled in at least
12 units of classes at the TU in Northeastern Maryland facility. Selected recipients
will receive a $2,000 grant ($1,000 per term) for fall and spring terms. Please view the

Convenience and Cost Savings
Towson University also offers reduced fees for students who take at least 12 credits
at its Northeastern Maryland location. A significant savings when compared to students

State of the Art Technology
Towson University in Northeastern Maryland offers state of the art technology for
students, faculty, and visitors. The technology includes interactive whiteboards,
distance learning capabilities, remote meeting access, and more. Students may also
get technology support, access to the computer lab and multimedia equipment from Student Computing Services (SCS) conveniently on-site at TU in Northeastern Maryland.
Library Services
The Library and Learning Commons at TU in Northeastern Maryland offers students full
access to library services. Students have immediate access to electronic journals,
books, and articles through the Albert S. Cook Library, as well as physical access
to a small print collection at TU in Northeastern Maryland. The Library Associate
is the representative for Albert S. Cook Library at TU in Northeastern Maryland, and
is available to assist and work with students, faculty, staff, and the Harford community.

Towson University in Northeastern Maryland is located at 510 Thomas Run Road approximately
32 miles north of the main Towson University campus. From Towson University, take
I-695 East to I-95 North. Travel 23.8 miles on I-95 and take exit 80 to MD-543 North.
Travel 2 miles on MD-543 North and turn right onto MD-136 North and travel 0.7 miles
to Schucks Road. Turn left onto Schucks Road and travel 3.1 miles and continue onto
Thomas Run Road. Travel straight through the traffic circle, and TU in Northeastern
Maryland will be approximately 100 yards on your left. For directions from your area

Toni Guidi directs the Early Childhood/Special Education and Elementary Education/Special
Education programs at
Towson University in Northeastern Maryland. She believes that there is a critical
need for special education teachers in the state, and students will receive a great
education no matter which location they choose. “All of our students graduate with
the skills and field experiences they need to create a level playing field in their
classrooms," Guidi says.
