Today host Savannah Guthrie addressed Billy Bush's suspension during Monday morning's show in which she referred to 'his role in that conversation with Donald Trump'.
In what was the first weekday broadcast since audio emerged on Friday of Trump making lewd comments to Bush about women on an Access Hollywood bus in 2005, Guthrie said: 'We want to note one other thing. Pending further review of the matter, NBC News has suspended Billy Bush, the host of TODAY’s third hour, for his role in that conversation with Donald Trump'.
Today executive Noah Oppenheim first announced Bush's ban in an email to the show's team on Sunday night.
'Dear TODAY Family - I know we've all been deeply troubled by the revelations of the past 48 hours,' the statement read.

Bush, the nephew of former President George H.W. Bush, was recorded on a video, obtained by the Washington Post, on an Access Hollywood set in 2005 with Donald Trump.
The pair were on the set of the soap opera Days of Our Lives. Trump was about to record a segment on the show and Bush was there to interview him when the newlywed billionaire started bragging about his attempts to seduce a married woman and boasting about how being a 'star' meant he could get away with 'anything' when trying to bed a woman.
The shocking outburst captured Trump, who didn't realize the conversation was being recorded, detailing his pursuit of Nancy O'Dell, while Bush was heard commenting and laughing.
From the bus they had ridden to the set, Bush pointed out to Trump an actress, Arianne Zucker, who was there to greet them.
Bush, who is reported to be worth approximately $9m with annual earnings in the region of $3m, called the actress 'hot' and added an expletive.
After getting off the bus, Bush asks the actress to hug Trump, then adds, 'How about a little hug for the Bushy?'

Donald Trump
Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessperson and media personality. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's career, branding efforts, personal life, wealth, and outspoken manner have made him famous throughout the country. Since 2015, he is also a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
Trump is a native of New York City and a son of Fred Trump, who inspired him to enter real estate development. After two years at Fordham University and while studying at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Trump worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son. Upon graduating in 1968 he joined the company, and in 1971 was given control, renaming the company "The Trump Organization". Since then he has built hotels, golf courses, and other properties, many of which bear his name. He is a major figure in the American business scene and has received prominent media exposure. The NBC reality show The Apprentice bolstered his fame, and his three marriages were extensively reported in tabloids.

Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs (/ˈdʒɒbz/; February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American information technology entrepreneur and inventor. He was the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer (CEO) of Apple Inc.; CEO and largest shareholder of Pixar Animation Studios; a member of The Walt Disney Company's board of directors following its acquisition of Pixar; and founder, chairman, and CEO of NeXT Inc. Jobs is widely recognized as a pioneer of the microcomputer revolution of the 1970s, along with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Adopted at birth in San Francisco, and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 1960s, Jobs's countercultural lifestyle was a product of his time. As a senior at Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, his two closest friends were the older engineering student (and Homestead High alumnus) Wozniak and his countercultural girlfriend, the artistically inclined Homestead High junior Chrisann Brennan. Jobs briefly attended Reed College in 1972 before dropping out, deciding to travel through India in 1974 and study Buddhism.

Albert Lincoln "Al" Roker Jr. (born August 20, 1954) is an American television personality, weather forecaster, actor, and book author. He is best known as being the weather anchor on NBC's Today. From Monday, July 20, 2009 to Friday, October 2, 2015, he co-hosted his morning show, Wake Up with Al, on The Weather Channel, which aired weekdays live from 5:30 to 7:00 am ET one hour and a half earlier than Today. Roker also appears occasionally on NBC Nightly News. He holds an expired American Meteorological Society Television Seal #238. Writing with Dick Lochte, Roker began a series of murder mysteries in 2009 that feature Billy Blessing, a celebrity chef turned amateur detective. The second book in the series, The Midnight Show Murders (2010), was nominated for a 2011 Nero Award. On November 12, 2014, 10 PM EST, Roker attempted to beat the previous unofficial world record for an uninterrupted live weather report of 33-hours held by Norwegian weather broadcaster Eli Kari Gjengedal. In what was the first weekday broadcast since audio emerged on Friday of Trump making lewd comments to Bush about women on an Access Hollywood bus in 2005, Guthrie said: 'We want to note one other thing. Pending further review of the matter, NBC News has suspended Billy Bush, the host of TODAY’s third hour, for his role in that conversation with Donald Trump'.
Today executive Noah Oppenheim first announced Bush's ban in an email to the show's team on Sunday night.

Bush, the nephew of former President George H.W. Bush, was recorded on a video, obtained by the Washington Post, on an Access Hollywood set in 2005 with Donald Trump.
The pair were on the set of the soap opera Days of Our Lives. Trump was about to record a segment on the show and Bush was there to interview him when the newlywed billionaire started bragging about his attempts to seduce a married woman and boasting about how being a 'star' meant he could get away with 'anything' when trying to bed a woman.
The shocking outburst captured Trump, who didn't realize the conversation was being recorded, detailing his pursuit of Nancy O'Dell, while Bush was heard commenting and laughing.
From the bus they had ridden to the set, Bush pointed out to Trump an actress, Arianne Zucker, who was there to greet them.
Bush, who is reported to be worth approximately $9m with annual earnings in the region of $3m, called the actress 'hot' and added an expletive.
After getting off the bus, Bush asks the actress to hug Trump, then adds, 'How about a little hug for the Bushy?'
