Bio

Name: Dana
Born: 3/12/79, New York

I am an arts, culture, literature, technology, science and media geek. Equally right and left-brained, obsessed with the influx of information, on a perpetual quest for that which stirs, intrigues, confuses and delights the senses. A compulsive crafter and incurable bibliophile, forever exploring, investigating, creating and collecting. My greatest joy lies in the extreme beauty of the mundane, life’s countless absurdities and the seamless fusion of darkness and light.

Despite my undergraduate English major and work in the publishing industry, I’m now embarking on a grad school journey toward a PhD in Depth Psychology. Years ago I fell in love with integrative medicine, and eagerly await the chance to become an architect of healing; discovering the infinite possibilities on the fine line where science and spirit connect.

Here’s hoping this little kaleidoscope of my endless passions may somehow enrich the lives of others!

  7. Hello Dana, I wanted to comment on your introduction. Your choice of adjectives and word structure so eloquently expresses who you are, that the beauty of the picture your paragraph left in my mind, just barely surpasses the beauty of yourself. Thank you for sharing your life’s passion.

  44. Hi Dana, I just wanted to thank you. In this blog you’ve been collecting rappresentations and sensations I’ve always looked for. I work as a neuroradiologist which means that I write death sentences for a living, and it happens almost everyday, so I shelter myself in art to exsorcise my fears, to becalm my disquietude, and I find it a good trait d’union between wonder (neuroscience) and uneasiness (inspiration [art]).

  45. I’ve read several just right stuff here. Certainly worth bookmarking for revisiting.

I wonder how a lot attempt you set to create this sort of wonderful informative website.

  54. Greetings from Alaska, Dana!
You produce a superb blog; thank you for sharing your passion for art with us. A poet by calling, and lover of art by nature, I took up clockmaking when I was forced to retire from a career as a stagehand.
Now, when not making things tick tock, I enjoy tinkering with such things as you post…however, you have a very discerning eye & my creations are not ready for the world to see…yet.
Just wanted to drop a note of thanks. People such as you keep the ‘net interesting and worthy. That’s a gift to us all.
    Bon Chance!
