"Melt My Heart to Stone" is a song co-written[2] and performed by British singer Adele, issued as a promotional single from her debut studio album 19. Adele has stated that it is her favorite song on the album.[4] Since its release, "Melt My Heart to Stone" has been sampled in "Do Ya Like" by Childish Gambino and also covered by Logic .[3] The song has also been covered by Vitamin String Quartet.[3]

Critical reception[edit]

Matthew Chisling of AllMusic called the song "incredible";[5] while Ron Hart of PopMatters, while giving the parent album's production a middling rating, stated that the string arrangements by producer Jim Abbiss "[help] punctuate the power of [Adele's] enormous voice more effectively" than elsewhere on the album.[6]

Live performances[edit]

Adele performed the song live on Last Call with Carson Daly on February 10, 2009.[7] She went on to perform the song on VH1 Divas on June 8, 2009;[8] and on Live from the Artists Den on February 25, 2011.[9]
