Here's the late Pat McGeegan of the Skyrockets Showband with Ireland's Eurovision entry from 1968, a song written by John Kennedy called "Chance Of A Lifetime." The song came fourth in the Contest and reached No.1 in the Irish Charts in April of 1968. (His real name was Pat McGuigan and he was the father of former World Featherweight Boxing Champion Barry McGuigan.) This video is purely for entertainment purposes and not for profit. Barry McGuigan
Finbar Patrick McGuigan MBE (born 28 February 1961), known as Barry McGuigan and nicknamed The Clones Cyclone, is a retired Irish professional boxer from Clones, County Monaghan, Ireland who became a World Boxing Association featherweight champion. Barry was a fan favourite for Irish and British audiences, as he represented neutrality and peace in a time when Northern Ireland (where he lived) was divided as part of The Troubles. He founded, and is the current President of, the Professional Boxing Association (PBA).McGuigan is the CEO and founder of Cyclone Promotions.
Background
Barry McGuigan was born in Clones, County Monaghan, Ireland. His father was singer Pat McGuigan (died 1987). He represented Northern Ireland in the Commonwealth Games at Edmonton 1978 and represented Ireland at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Pat McGuigan sang "Danny Boy" before several of his son's matches. This fact inspired the Hacienda Brothers' song "If Daddy Don't Sing Danny Boy", written by boxer and musician Chris Gaffney.

Danny Boy
"Danny Boy" is a ballad written by English songwriter Frederic Weatherly and usually set to the Irish tune of the "Londonderry Air". It is most closely associated with Irish communities.
History
Initially written to a tune other than "Londonderry Air", the words to "Danny Boy" were penned by English lawyer and lyricist Frederic Weatherly in Bath, Somerset in 1910. After his Irish-born sister-in-law Margaret (known as Jess) in the United States sent him a copy of "Londonderry Air" in 1913 (an alternative version has her singing the air to him in 1912 with different lyrics), Weatherly modified the lyrics of "Danny Boy" to fit the rhyme and meter of "Londonderry Air".
Weatherly gave the song to the vocalist Elsie Griffin, who made it one of the most popular songs in the new century; and, in 1915, Ernestine Schumann-Heink produced the first recording of "Danny Boy".
Jane Ross of Limavady is credited with collecting the melody of "Londonderry Air" in the mid-19th century from a musician she encountered.

Pat McGuigan
Patrick (Pat) McGuigan (1935–1987) was a famous Irish singer born in Clones, County Monaghan.
McGuigan came into the national spotlight in 1968, when he competed for Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest (as Pat McGeegan) with the song Chance of a Lifetime, arriving in fourth place. Subsequently, he made some albums and scored a few hits, and his rendition of Danny Boy became well known. McGuigan was also a respected songwriter.
His son, Barry McGuigan, was world featherweight boxing champion in 1985-1986. Pat McGuigan became known in the United States after his son's world title winning victory over Eusebio Pedroza. On June 13, 1986, he sang the American national anthem before the world championship bout between Carlos Santos and Buster Drayton in New Jersey.
Pat McGuigan died after a period of illness in 1987. He was 52 years old.

In discussion with News 9 reporter Justin Dougherty, McGuigan described Coburn's mood was “really good, very focused. I would not call it wistful, but forward looking.” Health permitting, Coburn plans to travel the state and nation, advocating for constitutional reforms. John (John McGuigan) and Mark (Mark Wilhelm) are worried when Prago (Peter Rago) takes an interest in eerily apelike Yoko (Amy Sherman). They soon discover that the formerly late Ka-Zar (Pat Miller) has built a time machine, and used said time machine to take over the world! Luckily, The Bum (Eric Grau) has plans - and a time machine - of his own! It's now up to them to save their old buddy Brian (Brian Wessel) from sinister simians Tom (Tom Schlacks) and Bronco (Jorge Salinas) , as well as fix the damage done to the timestream, and hopefully, if at all possible, find a way back home. So sit back, grab a banana, and prepare to "fight the future"! Ha ha! Yes!
