SRINAGAR: RSS has said that the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir government should engage with ‘misguided’ militants and stonepelters to convince them to join the mainstream, even as they should isolate the Hurriyat leaders who follow the diktats of Pakistan.

It stressed that the current situation in Kashmir doesn’t reflect the ‘failure’ of the PDP-BJP coalition, but is “an examination which they will surely pass with flying colours”.

RSS emphasized that freedom of Balochistan and Sindh, the merger of Muzaffarabad, Mirpur and Gilgit Baltistan with India, and terrorism were the primary concerns of New Delhi, which should be raised with Pakistan and there should be a dialogue on these issues.

“Separatists should be isolated and youngsters who have taken the wrong path should surrender and leave stones and guns and come towards education, employment and development, and the government should do everything for their rehabilitation,” senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar told ET.

The government should engage and facilitate development and employment of Buddhists, Dogras, Shias, Sufis, Pandits, Sikhs, Gujjar Bakerwals, intellectuals and people from backward areas and those who haven’t been given J&K; state subject but are living in the state, Kumar said.

He asserted that the J&K; assembly should nominate members for 24 vacant seats reserved for the members from other side of Kashmir. All the parties in J&K;, including NC, BJP, Congress and PDP, should have the courage to call a terrorist a terrorist and not a patriot.

Kumar, who has worked in J&K; for more than a decade and is a mentor of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, claimed that “46% of population of Pakistan want freedom”. “India has never committed any atrocity or enslaved anybody, but helped slave nations to get freedom.

People’s revolution is needed in Balochistan, Pakhtunistan and Sindh and GB and Muzaffarabad,” said Kumar. On the issue of reviewing Indus Water Treaty, Kumar said: “If Pakistan continues to tread Satan’s path, it has to be taught a lesson, otherwise, it will be a problem.”
