After a gigantic 9.0 earthquake and tsunami devastated Tohoku in Northeast Japan on March 11, 2011, people were faced with the seemingly impossible task of moving forward from not only 16,000 deaths and a million buildings collapsed or damaged, but also the intense psychological trauma of the experience and the aftermath. How were people able to move on? Dianne Fukami believes that the key is a Japanese characteristic she grew up with and one we can all learn from.
Dianne is a second generation San Franciscan and attended public schools in the City before entering U.C. Berkeley and majoring in journalism. She worked in the newsroom of what was then KPIX-TV (now CBS5) for 15 years before co-founding Bridge Media, Inc., a production, media, and consulting company.
Her most recent documentary is called Stories From Tohoku showcasing the resilience and strength of people who survived the devastating earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster in eastern Japan in March 2011 and the re-connections to the Japanese American community in the U.S. She has served on a number of non-profits boards including the National Japanese American Historical Society and more recently, President and board member of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California based in San Francisco. She is now in the fundraising and pre-production phase of a documentary profiling former San Jose Mayor and Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta.

Crows (Japanese: クローズ, Hepburn: Kurōzu) is a Japanese high school delinquent manga series by Hiroshi Takahashi. It has the same setting and also shares some characters with Takahashi's later manga QP and Worst. As of October 2007, it had sold more than 32 million copies worldwide.
Crows (クローズ) adalah sebuah seri manga karya Hiroshi Takahashi yang berlatar belakang tentang kehidupan anak SMA Suzuran. Pengambilan nama Crows sendiri didasarkan pada latar Sekolah Menengah Atas khusus laki-laki yang pada dasarnya berisi banyak berandalan sehingga dijuluki sekolah para Gagak (Crows). Ada beberapa seri manga yang berlatar belakang Suzuran, mulai dari Crows, Worst, dan QP. Selain manga, Crows juga diadaptasikan menjadi film dengan judul Crows Zero 1, Crows Zero 2, dan Crows Explode. Las adaptaciones del manga al cine de acción real son siempre una locura. Así parece que se lo ha tomado el poco conocido realizador Torico (Ikerushinibana) en su versión del manga del reconocido autor Suehiro Maruo, experto en ero guro (el manga erótico-grotesco) Midori: La niña de las camelias, en una película titulada Shôjo Tsubaki.
El manga ya fue adaptado en 1992 en el mediometraje animado Midori, pero en esta ocasión se atreve a llevar la versión grotesca del cuento popular japonés con la modelo Risa Nakamura como protagonista, acompañada entre otros de Shunshuke Kazama (Petal Dance), Daichi Saeki (Paradise Kiss) y Motoki Fukami (presente en la saga Crows).
Shôjo Tsubaki cuenta lo siguiente: Midori es una joven huérfana que trabaja en un circo ambulante. La desafortunada niña pasa sus días a través de los hechos más atroces, torturas físicas y mentales: vive en un infierno, hasta que un día conoce a Masamitsu El Magnífico, y se enamora. Pero sus problemas no terminan ahí
La historia original, considerada erótico-grotesca o “eroguro”, se centra en la vida de una niña llamada Midori, quien queda huérfana tras perder a su madre por una enfermedad, y es vendida a un circo de rarezas en el que los “artistas” la atormentan física y sexualmente.
El manga fue publicado en 1984 y tuvo una adaptación animada en 1992 por el director Hiroshi Harada, con músca de J. A. Seazer, conocido por el anime Revolutionary Girl Utena. La controvertida película se exhibió en festivales fuera de Japón con el nombre de Midori, y en su versión en español se le conoció como Midori, La Niña De Las Camelias.

Hiroshi (owarai)
Hiroshi (ヒロシ), real name Ken'ichi Saitō (斉藤 健一, Saitō Ken'ichi, born February 14, 1972 in Ōmuta, Fukuoka Prefecture), is a Japanese comedian famous for his stand-up act.
Originally a member (a quick-tempered tsukkomi) of a kombi called Babies (ベイビーズ), he started working as a host in Tokyo under the host name Ken Saegami (冴神剣 Saegami Ken) when Babies dissolved. Making a mere amount of yen equivalent to $800 per month, he worked as a host for nearly 3 years.
After quitting his host job, he returned to the comedy circuit with a new name, "Hiroshi"—taken from the announcer Hiroshi Ikushima (生島ヒロシ Ikushima Hiroshi)—and a new gimmick; one that would eventually gain him stardom in 2004 while landing stand-up spots on various comedy programs including the popular The god of Entertainment. (エンタの神様). His skit always follows the same formula: A simple introduction followed by a recollection of past and present pitiful episodes in his life after which he repeats, "I am Hiroshi." (ヒロシです/Hiroshi desu), while Italian singer Peppino Gagliardi's "Che vuole questa musica stasera" plays in the background.

Since the premiere of the children's television program Sesame Street on November 10, 1969, it has included what writer Malcolm Gladwell has called "the essence of Sesame Street—the artful blend of fluffy monsters and earnest adults". The original cast, chosen by producer Jon Stone, consisted of four human actors—Matt Robinson, who played Gordon; Loretta Long, who played Gordon's wife, Susan; Will Lee, who played Mr. Hooper; and Bob McGrath, who played Bob. Unlike most children's television programs at the time, the producers of Sesame Street decided against using a single host and cast a group of ethnically diverse actors, with, as Sesame Street researcher Gerald S. Lesser put it, "a variety of distinctive and reliable personalities".
Stone did not audition actors until spring 1969, a few weeks before five shows, designed to test the show's appeal to children and to examine their comprehension of the material, were due to be filmed. Stone videotaped the auditions, and researcher Ed Palmer took them out into the field to test children's reactions. The actors who received the "most enthusiastic thumbs up" were cast. For example, when the children saw Long's audition, they stood up and sang along with her rendition of "I'm a Little Teapot". As Stone said, casting was the only aspect of the show that was "just completely haphazard". Most of the cast and crew found jobs on Sesame Street through personal relationships with Stone and the other producers.

Crows (クローズ) adalah sebuah seri manga karya Hiroshi Takahashi yang berlatar belakang tentang kehidupan anak SMA Suzuran. Pengambilan nama Crows sendiri didasarkan pada latar Sekolah Menengah Atas khusus laki-laki yang pada dasarnya berisi banyak berandalan sehingga dijuluki sekolah para Gagak (Crows). Ada beberapa seri manga yang berlatar belakang Suzuran, mulai dari Crows, Worst, dan QP. Selain manga, Crows juga diadaptasikan menjadi film dengan judul Crows Zero 1, Crows Zero 2, dan Crows Explode. Untuk seri manga Crows sendiri bercerita tentang pengalaman anak pindahan bernama Harumichi Bouya dari tahun kedua hingga lulus dari Suzuran.

Así parece que se lo ha tomado el poco conocido realizador Torico (Ikerushinibana) en su versión del manga del reconocido autor Suehiro Maruo, experto en ero guro (el manga erótico-grotesco) Midori: La niña de las camelias, en una película titulada Shôjo Tsubaki.
El manga ya fue adaptado en 1992 en el mediometraje animado Midori, pero en esta ocasión se atreve a llevar la versión grotesca del cuento popular japonés con la modelo Risa Nakamura como protagonista, acompañada entre otros de Shunshuke Kazama (Petal Dance), Daichi Saeki (Paradise Kiss) y Motoki Fukami (presente en la saga Crows).
Shôjo Tsubaki cuenta lo siguiente: Midori es una joven huérfana que trabaja en un circo ambulante. La desafortunada niña pasa sus días a través de los hechos más atroces, torturas físicas y mentales: vive en un infierno, hasta que un día conoce a Masamitsu El Magnífico, y se enamora. Pero sus problemas no terminan ahí
La historia original, considerada erótico-grotesca o “eroguro”, se centra en la vida de una niña llamada Midori, quien queda huérfana tras perder a su madre por una enfermedad, y es vendida a un circo de rarezas en el que los “artistas” la atormentan física y sexualmente.
El manga fue publicado en 1984 y tuvo una adaptación animada en 1992 por el director Hiroshi Harada, con músca de J. A. Seazer, conocido por el anime Revolutionary Girl Utena. La controvertida película se exhibió en festivales fuera de Japón con el nombre de Midori, y en su versión en español se le conoció como Midori, La Niña De Las Camelias.

After a gigantic 9.0 earthquake and tsunami devastated Tohoku in Northeast Japan on March 11, 2011, people were faced with the seemingly impossible task of moving forward from not only 16,000 deaths and a million buildings collapsed or damaged, but also the intense psychological trauma of the experience and the aftermath. How were people able to move on? Dianne Fukami believes that the key is a Japanese characteristic she grew up with and one we can all learn from.
Dianne is a second generation San Franciscan and attended public schools in the City before entering U.C. Berkeley and majoring in journalism. She worked in the newsroom of what was then KPIX-TV (now CBS5) for 15 years before co-founding Bridge Media, Inc., a production, media, and consulting company.
Her most recent documentary is called Stories From Tohoku showcasing the resilience and strength of people who survived the devastating earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster in eastern Japan in March 2011 and the re-connections to the Japanese American community in the U.S. She has served on a number of non-profits boards including the National Japanese American Historical Society and more recently, President and board member of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California based in San Francisco. She is now in the fundraising and pre-production phase of a documentary profiling former San Jose Mayor and Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta.

Crows (クローズ) adalah sebuah seri manga karya Hiroshi Takahashi yang berlatar belakang tentang kehidupan anak SMA Suzuran. Pengambilan nama Crows sendiri didasarkan pada latar Sekolah Menengah Atas khusus laki-laki yang pada dasarnya berisi banyak berandalan sehingga dijuluki sekolah para Gagak (Crows). Ada beberapa seri manga yang berlatar belakang Suzuran, mulai dari Crows, Worst, dan QP. Selain manga, Crows juga diadaptasikan menjadi film dengan judul Crows Zero 1, Crows Zero 2, dan Crows Explode. Untuk seri manga Crows sendiri bercerita tentang pengalaman anak pindahan bernama Harumichi Bouya dari tahun kedua hingga lulus dari Suzuran.

High&Low; The Movie(stylized as HiGH＆LOW THE MOVIE) is a 2016 Japanese action film directed by Shigeaki Kubo.[1] Released in Japan by Shochiku on July 16, 2016,[3] it is the first original film of the High&Low; franchise, following the story of television series High&Low;: The Story of S.W.O.R.D. Las adaptaciones del manga al cine de acción real son siempre una locura. Así parece que se lo ha tomado el poco conocido realizador Torico (Ikerushinibana) en su versión del manga del reconocido autor Suehiro Maruo, experto en ero guro (el manga erótico-grotesco) Midori: La niña de las camelias, en una película titulada Shôjo Tsubaki.
El manga ya fue adaptado en 1992 en el mediometraje animado Midori, pero en esta ocasión se atreve a llevar la versión grotesca del cuento popular japonés con la modelo Risa Nakamura como protagonista, acompañada entre otros de Shunshuke Kazama (Petal Dance), Daichi Saeki (Paradise Kiss) y Motoki Fukami (presente en la saga Crows).
Shôjo Tsubaki cuenta lo siguiente: Midori es una joven huérfana que trabaja en un circo ambulante. La desafortunada niña pasa sus días a través de los hechos más atroces, torturas físicas y mentales: vive en un infierno, hasta que un día conoce a Masamitsu El Magnífico, y se enamora. Pero sus problemas no terminan ahí
La historia original, considerada erótico-grotesca o “eroguro”, se centra en la vida de una niña llamada Midori, quien queda huérfana tras perder a su madre por una enfermedad, y es vendida a un circo de rarezas en el que los “artistas” la atormentan física y sexualmente.
El manga fue publicado en 1984 y tuvo una adaptación animada en 1992 por el director Hiroshi Harada, con músca de J. A. Seazer, conocido por el anime Revolutionary Girl Utena. La controvertida película se exhibió en festivales fuera de Japón con el nombre de Midori, y en su versión en español se le conoció como Midori, La Niña De Las Camelias.
