1963 yılında daha önce iki filmde birlikte çalışmış olan (Gençlik Hülyaları ve Şehirdeki Yabancı) yönetmen Halit Refik ve oyuncu Göksel Arsoy yeni bir filme daha başlar.bu film teklifi aynı zamanda yapımcı da olan Arsoy'dan gelir. Arsoy'un eşi emekli bir generalin kızıdır ve baba o sırada hava kuvvetleri komutanı olan general ''İrfan Tanse''l'in yakın arkadaşıdır. Göksel Arsoy ise çocukluğundan beri havacılığa ilgi duyar sadece o değil babası bile oğlunun adını ilerde bir gün pilot olur diyerek ''Göksel'' koymuştur.işte bütün bunlar bir araya gelmiş Göksel Arsoy daha önce yaptığı iki çalışmadan memnun kalması sebebi ile çekmek istediği bu filmi Halit Refiğe teklif etmiştir. Arkasına ordunun desteğini alan film binbir zorlukla yetiştirilen jet pilotlarımızın öyküsünü anlatır. Eskişehir birinci ana jet üssü'nde çekilen eserde birde aşk hikayesi vardır. Teğmen göksel ve ağa kızı Leyla'nın aşkı. Gerçi göksel sonlara doğru meslektaşı Ayda (Nilüfer Aydan'a üniforma çok yakışmış) ile Leyla arasında kalır ama seçimi ile bizi fazla şaşırtmaz. Ağa rolündeki Mümtaz Eren ise kızı için zengin bir kocadan çok güçlü bir damat peşindedir. Bu aşka çıkardığı tek engel Göksel'in havacılıktan ayrılması şartıdır. Göksel yine bir ikilemde kalsada arkadaşı Faruk'un şehit olması ile kendisi için doğru olanı yapar.
Film vizyona girmeden önce (Yönetmen ve yapımcı filmin 30 ağustos gibi önemli bir günde ve İzmir'de ilk kez oynamasını ister ) sansür ile başı derde girer. Sansür filmdeki bazı noktalara takmıştır. Örneğin : Göksel Arsoy üstünde üniforma varken Leyla Sayar'ı öpmüş, jet uçağı düştüğü için pilot olmak isteyen gençlerin hevesi kırılmış (olabilirmiş) Bazı subaylar subaylığa yakışmayacak ölçüde argo konuşmuşlardır. Bunun üzerine komutan İrfan Tansel ve diğer komutanlar için eşleri ile birlikte bir özel gösterim hazırlanır. İrfan Tansel filmi izkedikten sonra
-''bu filmi yasaklayanlar benim armama karşı çıkmışlardır''
diyerek filmden yana tavır koyar ve iki gün sonrasında iki Albay'ın sansür kurulunu ziyareti ile iş tatlıya bağlanır. Film umulmadık bir başarı sağlar.
Film çekilirken üste bulunan ve o sırada Tuğgeneral olan Muhsin Batur Paşa film ekibine büyük yardımlarda bulunmuştur.
Filmin kameramanı kenan kurt yerdeki çekimlerde jetlerin tabir yerinde ise burnuna kadar sokulup çekip yapaçak kadar cesurken havadaki çekimlerde yükseklik korkusu yüzünden kamerayı halit refik' bırakmak zorunda kalmıştır.
Üssün o günlerdeki konuklarından birinide Halit Refik şöyle anlatıyor
-''Eskişehir hava üssünde fiilen işi olmayan bazı subaylar kenarda toplanır çekimleri seyrederdi. Bu da benim işime gelirdi çünkü filmde yan roller vardı;onları bilhassa daha doğal olsun diye sahici subaylara oynatma eğilimindeydim. Dolayısıyla toplanmalar olduğu zaman bir tarafyan sahneyi çekerken bir taraftanda onları kontrol ederdim. Aralarından biri dikkatimi çekiyor: genç uzun boylu yakışıklı açık renk gözlü üniforma üzerinde gayet iyi duruyor. Tanıştık. Anladım ki Eskişehir hava hastanesinde yedek subaylığını yapmakta. Ama öyle bir şey oldu ki tam çalışacağımız gün onu görevle bir yere göndermişler gelemedi. Başka bir subay arkadaşla o işi gördük''
Ama bir yıl sonra o genç adam yönetmeni bulacak ikisi birlikte ''Gurbet Kuşları''nı yapacaklar ve ikisi de mesleklerinde en tepeye kadar tırmanacaklardır. Şafak Bekçileri bu acıdanda sinemamız için unutulmaz bir filmdir.

Nipton, California
Nipton is an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, California, on the northern edge of Mojave National Preserve, west of Searchlight, Nevada and accessible via Nevada State Route 164. It has a population of 60 people.
Nipton was originally founded on February 9, 1905, with the coming of the first train on the newly constructed San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad. Originally called "Nippeno Camp" following a nearby discovery of gold, the name was changed to Nipton when the San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad merged with the Union Pacific Railroad around 1910. In addition to being a cattle-loading station for several local ranches, the town and depot also supplied numerous mines in the area, becoming a social center for the sparse population of the region.
Community facilities
Early facilities included a school, a U.S. post office, a voter precinct, and several small businesses. A five-room adobe hotel built in the Mexican Territorial style, originally constructed in 1910, is still in business, and current facilities include a trailer park, a small general store, and a café that is open on most days. The cafe, called The Oasis, advertises that they have the best burgers in Nipton, even though there is only one hamburger restaurant there.

Göksel Arsoy
Göksel Arsoy (born 15 March 1936 in Kayseri) is a Turkish actor.
Biography
When Arsoy was studying at İstanbul University's Economics faculty, he started working at the nearby Yeşilköy Airport. In 1958, he made his film debut in Kara Günlerim directed by Sırrı Gültekin and went on to appear in films such as Kelepçe and Samanyolu. In many of these, he starred opposite actress Belgin Doruk.
He was labelled the "Golden Child" ("Altın Çocuk") of Turkish cinema by the media. Through the years, he maintained a close friendship with Ayhan Işık, his main acting rival at the time.

1963 yılında daha önce iki filmde birlikte çalışmış olan (Gençlik Hülyaları ve Şehirdeki Yabancı) yönetmen Halit Refik ve oyuncu Göksel Arsoy yeni bir filme daha başlar.bu film teklifi aynı zamanda yapımcı da olan Arsoy'dan gelir. Arsoy'un eşi emekli bir generalin kızıdır ve baba o sırada hava kuvvetleri komutanı olan general ''İrfan Tanse''l'in yakın arkadaşıdır. Göksel Arsoy ise çocukluğundan beri havacılığa ilgi duyar sadece o değil babası bile oğlunun adını ilerde bir gün pilot olur diyerek ''Göksel'' koymuştur.işte bütün bunlar bir araya gelmiş Göksel Arsoy daha önce yaptığı iki çalışmadan memnun kalması sebebi ile çekmek istediği bu filmi Halit Refiğe teklif etmiştir. Arkasına ordunun desteğini alan film binbir zorlukla yetiştirilen jet pilotlarımızın öyküsünü anlatır. Eskişehir birinci ana jet üssü'nde çekilen eserde birde aşk hikayesi vardır. Teğmen göksel ve ağa kızı Leyla'nın aşkı. Gerçi göksel sonlara doğru meslektaşı Ayda (Nilüfer Aydan'a üniforma çok yakışmış) ile Leyla arasında kalır ama seçimi ile bizi fazla şaşırtmaz. Ağa rolündeki Mümtaz Eren ise kızı için zengin bir kocadan çok güçlü bir damat peşindedir. Bu aşka çıkardığı tek engel Göksel'in havacılıktan ayrılması şartıdır. Göksel yine bir ikilemde kalsada arkadaşı Faruk'un şehit olması ile kendisi için doğru olanı yapar.
Film vizyona girmeden önce (Yönetmen ve yapımcı filmin 30 ağustos gibi önemli bir günde ve İzmir'de ilk kez oynamasını ister ) sansür ile başı derde girer. Sansür filmdeki bazı noktalara takmıştır. Örneğin : Göksel Arsoy üstünde üniforma varken Leyla Sayar'ı öpmüş, jet uçağı düştüğü için pilot olmak isteyen gençlerin hevesi kırılmış (olabilirmiş) Bazı subaylar subaylığa yakışmayacak ölçüde argo konuşmuşlardır. Bunun üzerine komutan İrfan Tansel ve diğer komutanlar için eşleri ile birlikte bir özel gösterim hazırlanır. İrfan Tansel filmi izkedikten sonra

diyerek filmden yana tavır koyar ve iki gün sonrasında iki Albay'ın sansür kurulunu ziyareti ile iş tatlıya bağlanır. Film umulmadık bir başarı sağlar.
Film çekilirken üste bulunan ve o sırada Tuğgeneral olan Muhsin Batur Paşa film ekibine büyük yardımlarda bulunmuştur.
Filmin kameramanı kenan kurt yerdeki çekimlerde jetlerin tabir yerinde ise burnuna kadar sokulup çekip yapaçak kadar cesurken havadaki çekimlerde yükseklik korkusu yüzünden kamerayı halit refik' bırakmak zorunda kalmıştır.

The Rand Mining District was established in 1895, when gold was discovered in the Rand mountains. It's estimated that Randsburg produced more than $60 million in gold during its boom. There also was plenty of tungsten ore and silver. One of the most productive gold mines was the Yellow Aster, which yielded $25 million between 1895 and 1933.
Be sure to check out the Randsburg Jail, located at the entrance to town, then head inside the Rand Desert Museum, where you'll find mining exhibits, memorabilia and artifacts from the Rand Mining District. Be sure to say hi to curator J. Bart Parker, and tell him we said hello!
Most of Randsburg's surviving Old West buildings are located along Butte Avenue. The Santa Barbara Catholic Church dates back to 1904, but the first church was built here in 1897. The Randsburg Post Office dates back to 1896. On holidays, local thespians don period costumes for plays and melodramas at the Randsburg Opera House.
The Randsburg General Store is the hub of action in Randsburg, especially during the fall when the weather cools off and ATV riders arrive. You have to order the Black Bart. It's a signature item here! Built in 1896 as the Jones Drug Store, this popular hangout is a huge draw for tourists who fuel up on burgers and sandwiches, washed down with a phosphate soda. The building still has its original tin ceilings, light fixtures and soda fountain dating back to 1904.
For a bit of wild west nostalgia, head into the White House Saloon, which hosted miners, cowboys, Indians and clampers during the boom years; or check out The Joint, a local watering hole that's been here since the 1950s.
If you want to stay the night, Goat's Sky Ranch is a B&B; with miner's cabin rentals, or you can check into the Randsburg Inn , which sits on the former site of the Orpheum Theater, My Place Dance Hall and Commercial Hotel.
One thing to consider — Randsburg literally becomes a ghost town during the week. The best time to visit is on the weekend, when most businesses are operating.

But the real draw in Julian is the apple pie, and visitors are fiercely divided on who makes the best. I'm partial to Julian Pie Company, a cozy little diner with a loyal following. History:
About two hours away from Los Angeles CA. Randsburg is located on the west side of U.S. Route 395 between Kramer Junction and Ridgecrest to the north. Situated in the Rand Mountains, the town is separated by a ridge from Johannesburg. Gold was discovered at Rand Mine near the current town in 1895.
The music video for Calvin Harris's platinum single, Feel So Close, was filmed in part in Randsburg also Dwight Yoakam's 1989 video for "Long White Cadillac" was also filmed here.
Randsburg is former mining town and is a current day ‘Ghost town’ Located in Kern County CA. The Randsburg Jail is located when you first enter the town. It’s an old small two cell jail with mannequins in each cell showing what it would like with people inside. There are plaques on the wall showing some of the crimes that took place in the town in the 1800’s. Randsburg is a old mining town that at one time produced more than $60 million in gold. Its surviving buildings are located along its main street, Butte Avenue. The town has a rich mining history, antique stores, local art galleries and gift shops.
