Missing Curtin University student, Ehab Elmowafy, found after nine-day search

Missing Curtin University student, Ehab Elmowafy, has been found safe nine days after he disappeared. 

The 22-year-old civil engineering student was reported missing by his family after he failed to return home from a late night study session at Curtin University's library on October 5.

Police, at the time, described his disappearance as out-of-character. 

Mr Elmowafy was then spotted six days later, catching a train to Midland around midnight, holding a sandwich and book. 

It is understood he had recently deactivated his Facebook account. 

Police on Sunday confirmed Mr Elmowafy had been found safe and well on Friday night after he was recognised by police officers at a train station.
