NASCAR America is a daily NASCAR show on NBCSN, airing at 5 p.m. ET, and airs for 30 minutes, The show is hosted by NASCAR on NBC play-by-play announcer Rick Allen, who is usually joined by one or two analysts from the group of Jeff Burton, Kyle Petty, Wally Dallenbach, and Frank Stoddard. Parker Kligerman, Bobby Labonte, Dale Jarrett and Ricky Rudd have also appeared as analysts. The show made its debut on February 24, 2014, the day after the 2014 Daytona 500.
Starting in 2015, the show will be hosted on a regular basis by Krista Voda, who comes over to NBC, after spending 14 years covering NASCAR for Fox Sports serving as a pit reporter for the Sprint Cup series races.
Future episodes are slated to feature past and current Sprint Cup drivers, crew chiefs, and even avid NASCAR fan (and anchor of NBC's NBC Nightly News Brian Williams).
The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) is a family-owned and operated business venture that sanctions and governs multiple auto-racing sports events. Bill France, Sr. founded the company in 1948 and his grandson Brian France became their CEO in 2003. NASCAR is motorsport's preeminent stock-car racing organization. The three largest racing-series sanctioned by this company are the Sprint Cup Series, the Xfinity Series, and the Camping World Truck Series. The company also oversees NASCAR Local Racing, the Whelen Modified Tour, the Whelen All-American Series, and the NASCAR iRacing.com Series. NASCAR sanctions over 1,500 races at over 100 tracks in 39 of the 50 US states as well as in Canada. NASCAR has presented exhibition races at the Suzuka and Motegi circuits in Japan, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico, and the Calder Park Thunderdome in Australia.
NASCAR has its official headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida, and also maintains offices in four North Carolina cities—Charlotte, Concord, and Conover. Regional offices are located in New York City and Los Angeles, with international offices in Mexico City and in Toronto. Owing to NASCAR's Southern roots, all but a handful of NASCAR teams are still based in North Carolina, especially near the city of Charlotte.
"America" is an American political advertisement released by the 2016 presidential campaign of Bernie Sanders. It premiered on January 21, 2016 via YouTube, and to air on television in Iowa and New Hampshire shortly before the Democratic Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary.
The advertisement features "America," a song recorded by Simon & Garfunkel for their album Bookends (1968).
The ad starts with scenes of everyday American life over soft humming and gentle guitar strumming. As the line, "let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together" plays in the background, a middle-aged couple dances at a small Bernie Sanders for President rally. Then Sanders is seen speaking to a few people in a backyard. As the ad continues, the crowds grow larger and more enthusiastic. A montage of many Sanders supporters appear, as the words "They've all come to look for America" flash on the screen. Sanders is then seen addressing a large outdoor gathering, interacting one-on-one with supporters, appearing before more energetic crowds, finally ending in a large auditorium filled to capacity with cheering people.
Top Five is a 2014 American comedy film written and directed by Chris Rock. The film, which stars Rock, Rosario Dawson, and Gabrielle Union, was screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. The movie follows New York City comedian and film star Andre Allen (Rock), who has to confront his past and comedic career while doing an interview with journalist Chelsea Brown (Dawson). The film was released on December 12, 2014, by Paramount Pictures.
New York Times reporter Chelsea Brown is spending a day interviewing comedian and recovering alcoholic Andre Allen, star of the hit film franchise Hammy The Bear, about a cop in a bear suit. He is attempting a foray into serious films with Uprize, in which he portrays Haitian Revolution figure Dutty Boukman, and sensitive to criticism, particularly by Times critic James Nielson, whose previous reviews of Andre's work have been negative and insulting. As the interview begins in his limousine, Andre recalls his lowest point, when he was in Houston in 2003 and met Jazzy Dee, who supplied him with drugs, alcohol and women. Yet after Jazzy refused to pay the women, they contended they were raped, leading to Andre's arrest.

Much to my surprise, retired NBCSN IndyCar announcer Bob Jenkins did a recent voiceover intro for NASCAR America. It's nice to hear him talk about NASCAR again. I hope that he will do more for the Chase, just like Ken Squier has done all this year for NBC. Also included are some Chase driver interviews from Chase Fest. It sounded like the interviews are more casual and funny than in past years. I don't know about you, but I thoroughly enjoy NBC/NBCSN because not only are they more casual and fun than FOX and ESPN, they embrace the past a lot (look at the throwback weekend at Darlington). I hope FOX takes note and come back to this type of coverage - not bolt to FOX Sports Live for every rain delay. Credit to NBCSN.
