Brad is a masculine given name, that may be a short form of Bradford or Bradley. Brad may refer to:
Miko John Hughes (born February 22, 1986) is an American actor known for his film roles as a child actor as Gage Creed in Pet Sematary (1989), as astronaut Jim Lovell's son, Jeffrey Lovell, in Apollo 13, as an autistic boy opposite Bruce Willis in Mercury Rising (1998) and as Dylan, Heather Langenkamp's son in Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994), as well as his recurring role as Aaron on Full House from 1990 to 1995.
Hughes was born in Apple Valley, California, the son of Mary (née Phelps) and John Hughes, a special effects technician (not to be confused with late Breakfast Club director John Hughes). He has three siblings, Mike, Mitch and Molly. He has Chickasaw Native American ancestry.
Hughes started his acting career in a public service announcement when he was 22 months old, and followed that up by appearing in his first feature film five months later. From his years as a child actor, Hughes was consistently one of the busiest young actors in Hollywood. One of his first films was Jack the Bear, opposite Danny DeVito; in addition, he has starred on film in Pet Sematary (1989), Kindergarten Cop (1990), Apollo 13 (1995), Spawn (1997), Zeus and Roxanne (1997), and Mercury Rising (1998) alongside Bruce Willis.
Pet Sematary is a 1983 horror novel by Stephen King, nominated for a World Fantasy Award for Best Novel in 1984, and adapted into a 1989 film of the same name. In November 2013, PS Publishing released Pet Sematary in a limited 30th Anniversary Edition.
Louis Creed, a doctor from Chicago, is appointed director of the University of Maine's campus health service. He moves to a large house near the small town of Ludlow with his wife Rachel, their two young children, Ellie and Gage, and Ellie's cat, Church. From the moment they arrive, the family runs into trouble: Ellie hurts her knee after falling off a swing, and Gage is stung by a bee. Their new neighbor, an elderly man named Jud Crandall, comes to help. He warns Louis and Rachel about the highway that runs past their house; it is constantly used by speeding trucks.
Jud and Louis quickly become close friends. Since Louis' father died when he was three, he sees Jud as a surrogate father. A few weeks after the Creeds move in, Jud puts the friendship on the line when he takes the family on a walk in the woods behind their home. A well-tended path leads to a pet cemetery (misspelled "sematary") where the children of the town bury their deceased animals. This provokes a heated argument between Louis and Rachel the next day. Rachel disapproves of discussing death, and she worries about how Ellie may be affected by what she saw at the "sematary". (It is explained later that Rachel was traumatized by the early death of her sister, Zelda, from spinal meningitis—an issue that is brought up several times in flashbacks.)
Dale Alan Midkiff (born July 1, 1959) is an American actor, best known for playing Louis in the horror film Pet Sematary and Captain Darien Lambert in the TV series Time Trax.
Midkiff was born in Chance, Maryland, United States, the son of Joyce and Thomas Midkiff. He attended Edgewood High School near Baltimore. His first acting experience came playing Jack in a production of Jack and the Beanstalk for a local children's theater. His later roles were in The Intruder and Room Service. Dale graduated in 1977 and won a drama award from his high school. Midkiff then attended Salisbury University in Maryland, majoring in communication arts with a minor in English and philosophy. Following graduation, he went to New York City, where he held various odd jobs, including performing quick change for the showgirls at the Rainbow Grill in Rockefeller Center.
Midkiff acted in off-Broadway plays like Mark Medoff's The Wager. His first movie role was in Roger Corman's Streetwalkin' playing a pimp named Duke. Dale's acting was called "grittily impressive" in what some consider a B-movie classic. He has said in interviews that while his family never quite understood his interest in acting, they never discouraged him: "I love them for allowing a kid to believe in his dreams."
Pet Sematary hit theatres in 1989 and has kept horror fans rapt in its dark web ever since. "It's that damn road. Uses up a lot of animals." And children. And it is haunting. I recently watched the Stephen King hit for the first time in years, and was fascinated with Brad Greenquist's performance as Victor Pascow, the "guardian angel" who made every effort to warn the Creed family away from the sour soil. So I reached out. And Greenquist was good enough to share a few moments with iHorror about the lasting impact of Pet Sematary, Fred Gwynne as "the spine of the film", lunching alone, the upcoming documentary Unearthed and Untold and rumors of a remake.
Funny, creepy, cute. Brad Greenquist, one of my all-time favourite actors is turning 56 today (October 8th 2015) so I made a compilation of my favourite scenes featuring him to celebrate! I haven't found this kind of thing before, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to make YouTube a better place...! When the Jeffersonian team identifies the remains of a woman found in a paintball field, they discover two Missing Persons reports in her file. Booth (David Boreanaz) and Sweets (John Francis Daley) interrogate the victim's husband (guest star Brad Greenquist) and learn that she suffered from retrograde amnesia, but when squint Wendell Bray (guest star Michael Grant Terry) learns that she also survived a bullet wound, inconsistencies in her medical records uncover a surprising crime linked to her murder. Meanwhile, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth adjust to their new life as an expectant couple and deal with the forthcoming changes in their home life.
