Parrots have a specific spiritual connection with the nine planets (Navagrahas), the twelve zodiac signs (Rasis related to birth stars), the numerals of the dates in each month, and the seven musical notes Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da, Ni (Saptaswaras) in Indian classical music.

NATURE tracks down the cockiest characters in the land down under in Parrots in the Land of Oz.
We keep them in cages in our homes, but in their natural state they are independent birds who can seek out water over hundreds of miles through pure instinct. We feed them seed from a pet store, but they can find food in a wide variety of habitats. We give them plastic toys and mirrors to play with when in fact in the wild some have figured out how to use tools to communicate and attract mates.
For tens of millions of years, parrots have survived and thrived in Australia even as the continent underwent dramatic changes, including some brought about by man. Though some, like the golden-shouldered Parrot are threatened, these tough Aussies have adapted well to deal with harsh life in the outback. Clever, resourceful, opportunistic and resilient, parrots may be Australia's toughest survivors, and they're certainly its most beautiful.

Ospreys are the only birds of prey that rely almost entirely on fish, so they nest and raise their chicks near water. They return to Hog Island each year in early April after wintering in South America.
The Hog Island ospreys laid the first of their three eggs on April 26, and incubation time is 35-42 days. The female (recognized by the heavy striped pattern on her breast) does most of the incubation and the male often feeds her at the nest.
After the eggs hatch, the parents brood the chicks, protecting them from extreme weather and predators. They are very diligent parents, never leaving the chicks unprotected - even at night when Great Horned Owls might threaten the chicks. The parents are great providers of fish, hovering 30-100 feet above the sea, before plunging feet first under water, snagging the fish with their sharp talons. About fifty days after hatching, the young start exercising their wings in the nest and take their first practice flights from the nest. In early September, the young will begin their solo journey From Maine south along the Atlantic Flyway, passing through the Caribbean to winter in South America as far south as Chile.

Bird
Birds (class Aves) are a group of endothermic vertebrates, characterised by feathers, a beak with no teeth, the laying of hard-shelled eggs, a high metabolic rate, a four-chambered heart, and a lightweight but strong skeleton. Birds live worldwide and range in size from the 5 cm (2 in) bee hummingbird to the 2.75 m (9 ft) ostrich. They rank as the class of tetrapods with the most living species, at approximately ten thousand, with more than half of these being passerines, sometimes known as perching birds or, less accurately, as songbirds.
The fossil record indicates that birds are the last surviving dinosaurs, having evolved from feathered ancestors within the theropod group of saurischian dinosaurs. True birds first appeared during the Cretaceous period, around 100 million years ago, and the last common ancestor is estimated to have lived about 95 million years ago. DNA-based evidence finds that birds radiated extensively around the time of the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event that killed off the non-avian dinosaurs. Birds in South America survived this event and then migrated to other parts of the world via multiple land bridges while diversifying during periods of global cooling. Primitive bird-like "stem-birds" that lie outside class Aves proper, in the group Avialae, have been found dating back to the mid-Jurassic period. Many of these early stem-birds, such as Archaeopteryx, were not yet capable of fully powered flight, and many retained primitive characteristics like toothy jaws in place of beaks and long bony tails.

Ospreys are the only birds of prey that rely almost entirely on fish, so they nest and raise their chicks near water. They return to Hog Island each year in early April after wintering in South America.
The Hog Island ospreys laid the first of their three eggs on April 26, and incubation time is 35-42 days. The female (recognized by the heavy striped pattern on her breast) does most of the incubation and the male often feeds her at the nest.
After the eggs hatch, the parents brood the chicks, protecting them from extreme weather and predators. They are very diligent parents, never leaving the chicks unprotected - even at night when Great Horned Owls might threaten the chicks. The parents are great providers of fish, hovering 30-100 feet above the sea, before plunging feet first under water, snagging the fish with their sharp talons. About fifty days after hatching, the young start exercising their wings in the nest and take their first practice flights from the nest. In early September, the young will begin their solo journey From Maine south along the Atlantic Flyway, passing through the Caribbean to winter in South America as far south as Chile.

Originally built for eagles, hawks, and Andean condors, the aviary now houses 41 bird species that are native to various parts of Southeast Asia. This rain forest exhibit has everything from an aquarium to a 4-story river course, with 2 waterfalls, multilevel walkways, and more than 200 individual birds! As wondrous as this aviary sounds, one may miss its magic without knowing the stories of the birds that call it home.

Mental Preparation for study.
Your motivation for learning should be clear. Set clear goals and objectives, keep in mind that top grades can lead to higher earnings and a better quality life, learn to work for them.
Get into the habit of doing a minimum daily 10min. mindfulness meditation exercise, (increasing the duration as you become more proficient), sit comfortably, focus your attention for a couple of minutes on your breathing, observe your breath entering and leaving your body. As your thoughts start to distract you, consciously bring your attention back to your breath. When you're relaxed and focused, visualize yourself at your study desk accomplishing everything you want to do during that day, visualize yourself retaining all that information. Visualize yourself achieving the results you want. Visualize the quality of life you want from your efforts.
Practicing mindfulness will assist you in an exam situation to focus on the task at hand.
Know when you are 'Switched On'. Try to be aware of your bio clock and what time of the day you work best. Optimise by revising when you work best but keep an eye on the exam date and time. You will need to get used to working at that hour.
