Methodology is the systematic, theoretical analysis of the methods applied to a field of study. It comprises the theoretical analysis of the body of methods and principles associated with a branch of knowledge. Typically, it encompasses concepts such as paradigm, theoretical model, phases and quantitative or qualitative techniques.
A methodology does not set out to provide solutions - it is, therefore, not the same as a method. Instead, a methodology offers the theoretical underpinning for understanding which method, set of methods, or so-called “best practices” can be applied to specific case, for example, to calculating a specific result.
It has been defined also as follows:
The methodology is the general research strategy that outlines the way in which research is to be undertaken and, among other things, identifies the methods to be used in it. These methods, described in the methodology, define the means or modes of data collection or, sometimes, how a specific result is to be calculated.Methodology does not define specific methods, even though much attention is given to the nature and kinds of processes to be followed in a particular procedure or to attain an objective.

This video is a continuation of the supplementary lectures by Nigel Ajay Kumar for the Research Methodology class at SAIACS. This lecture is about "Methodology" (with the theological disciplines). But rather than give one definition, it provides a range of meanings, of what people could mean, when they ask, "What is your methodology." 5 points are offered, namely, 1. how do you gather your data, 2. what is your interpretative framework, 3. what is the system (ideology) that shapes your theological answer, 4. what model/theologian are you using to direct your paper, 5. what is the structure of your paper.
Methodology (procedures). How the research is done, and how results were obtained. Importance of the Study, Hypotheses ,Research terminologies, and Literature Review Population, sampling, number of treatments. Tools, statistical methods, variables, and materials been used Materials description (scales and questionnaires). The procedures that have been followed (participants, administration, and data collation, ). Research outcome measurements, (validity, reliability, and suitability) and data Analysis
This video is part of a supplementary lecture series by me (Nigel Ajay Kumar) for a Research Methodology course (MTh) that I am teaching at SAIACS in June 2014. This video takes a "simplistic" look at the issue, mainly because I (Nigel) am trying to keep things simple. A more advanced look at methodology may in fact critique the view of looking at methods as simply "tools". The goal here is rather the specify that methodology is an umbrella terms to designate many methods used during research. Methodology by itself is not distinct from method, except when it refers to the plurality of methods.

Read your free e-book: http://easyget.us/mebk/50/en/B00F8KEB3O/book This ground-breaking and exhaustive analysis of university ranking surveys scrutinizes their theoretical bases, methodological issues, societal impact, and policy implications, providing readers with a deep understanding of these controversial comparators. The authors propose that university rankings are misused by policymakers and institutional leaders alike. They assert that these interested parties overlook the highly problematic internal logic of ranking methodologies even as they obsess over the surveys assessment of their status. The result is that institutions suffer from short-termism, realigning their resources to maximize their relative rankings. While rankings are widely used in policy and academic discussions, ...

Therefore, 1st responders need Active Shooter/counter-terrorism and basic tactical skill proficiency. They need a system t...
