Years ago in 1972 when Don Shula and the legendary “No name defense” went undefeated they weren’t chosen to go to the Superbowl, and for sure they weren’t expected to go undefeated. Here in 2015 the #Niners defense certainly isn’t unknown, but of those who are still on it, they sure aren’t being given any chance to win by the media. This week we’ll talk about some names on the #49ers defense that could end up going from no respect, to glory in the absence of Justin Smith, Patrick Willis, Chris Borland, Parish Cox, and Chris Culliver. We’ve heard enough of the bad! It’s time to talk about the good! Defensive coordinator Eric Mangini has speed, power, athleticism off the charts at his disposal, and a nice mix of youth, and veteran leadership in a stable that we appreciate, and will give opinion on why Aldon Smith, Navorro Bowman, Chris Willhoite, Quentin Dial, Tank Carradine, Ian Williams, Glenn Dorsey, Darnell Dockett, Aaron Lynch, Ahmad Brooks, Eli Harold, Antoine Bethea, Eric Reid, Tramaine Brock, and new camp sensation Keith Reaser have the #NINEREMPIRE brimming with confidence. Offensively there is a slight resemblance to that same 1972 Miami team as well especially in the backfield. Larry Csonka, Mercury Morris, and Jim Kick equalled power, speed, and grit. This years 49ers? Hyde, Bush, Hunter rep a very similar picture. This years #49er offense is loaded, all it’s going to take is the right orchestrator, we think the underrated offensive coaching staff of which Geep Chryst is in charged is going to be interesting. We’ll talk about the endless options that are going to make the #Niners tough to defend. Also is Kaep going to improve?
