Clone is a 2008 BBC Three comedy series starring Jonathan Pryce and Mark Gatiss, centred on the creation and education of the world's first human clone. Its first series of six 30-minute episodes premiered on 17 November 2008.
Intended to be a prototype super soldier who will eventually replace Britain's volunteer Army, his creator, the brilliant scientist Dr Victor Blenkinsop discovers, to both his horror and distaste, that his new super weapon is not quite the awe-inspiring creation he expected. In fact, the clone is more likely to hug someone than shoot them. This modern-day Dr Frankenstein and his monster go on the run hoping to find the neurological trigger that will fix the clone and unlock his superhuman abilities. Unfortunately, they must also avoid Colonel Black and his crack team of security agents, whose mission is to find them and kill them.
Jonathan Pryce, CBE (born John Price; 1 June 1947) is a Welsh actor and singer. After studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and meeting his longtime girlfriend, English actress Kate Fahy, in 1974, he began his career as a stage actor in the 1970s. His work in theatre, including an award-winning performance in the title role of the Royal Court Theatre's Hamlet, led to several supporting roles in film and television. He made his breakthrough screen performance in Terry Gilliam's 1985 cult film Brazil.
Critically lauded for his versatility, Pryce has participated in big-budget films including Evita, Tomorrow Never Dies, Pirates of the Caribbean, The New World, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, GI Joe: Retaliation as well as independent films including Glengarry Glen Ross and Carrington. His career in theatre has also been prolific, and he has won two Tony Awards—the first in 1977 for his Broadway debut in Comedians, the second for his 1991 role as The Engineer in the musical Miss Saigon. Beginning in 2015, Pryce became a guest actor on the HBO series Game of Thrones as the High Sparrow.
Mark Gatiss (/ˈɡeɪtɪs/ GAY-tis; born 17 October 1966) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter and novelist. Some of his notable works include writing for and acting in TV series Doctor Who and Sherlock, the latter of which he also co-created. He is a member of the comedy team The League of Gentlemen alongside Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton and co-writer Jeremy Dyson.
Gatiss was born in Sedgefield, County Durham, England, to Winifred Rose (née O'Kane, 1931–2003) and Maurice Gatiss (1931–). He grew up opposite the Edwardian psychiatric hospital where his father worked. His family background was working class. His childhood passions included watching Doctor Who and Hammer Horror films on television, reading Sherlock Holmes and H.G. Wells, and collecting fossils. All of these interests have fuelled his creative work as an adult.
He attended Heighington CE Primary School and Woodham Comprehensive School in Newton Aycliffe; at the latter, he was two years ahead of Paul Magrs, who would also go on to write Doctor Who fiction. He then studied Theatre Arts at Bretton Hall College which was an arts college affiliated to Leeds University.

May the defence of the most high be above and beneath, around and within us, in our going out and in our coming in, in our rising up and in our coming down, all our days and all our nights, until the dawn when the sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings for the people of the world, through Jesus Christ Our Lord Amen It is extremely difficult to be able to do justice to the bravery, courage and control that Cpl McLaughlin displayed during the battle for Longdon. I also do not feel that it would be disrespectful to others to say that he was most probably the the most inspirational member of B Company on the mountain. Every Step you take is to the end
Chaos, duplicate the human slaves
Mother Nature so far away : Why?
Perfect is the race you dream
Right now, I make my choice
Perfection you fake is not
The soul, not a genetic code
You fools, you ignoramuses
Hatchery, the newborn to celebrate
Ashes to ashes, I see respect in the dust
Life is so perfect
Now for the weak an abortion
Celebrate perfection that grows
The flesh, a gift of science
The soul a fault of a god
Life on its way to the state of fire
From the cold taste of steel
Light embraces the dark, lava flowing free
and the cradle is...
Forgot the reasons why - We all lie so pale
On the playground of cold
Mother Nature is at saturation point
