The Agilent 7000 Quadrupole GC/MS/MS is the latest addition to Agilents MS portfolio. Scientists performing target compound analysis in SIM mode on complex samples will find many ways to use its increased selectivity and sensitivity. MS/MS reduces sample prep, shortens analysis cycles, eliminates false results, and simplifies data review for improved productivity. Based upon time-tested MSD components, the 7000 sets a higher standard for robust GC/MS/MS operation. The N6705B DC Power Analyzer can be used to capture the dynamic current profile of a battery powered device. http://www.keysight.com/find/N6781 Design changes can be quickly evaluated to determine the impact to the battery run time. The DC Power Analyzer allows you to data log over a period of time and then analyze the waveform post acquisition, all from the front panel. In this example we used the N6781A module which feature seemless current ranging so both the low level idle current and the peak transmission current can be captured in a single pass. In this video the current profile of a wireless temperature sensor is captured. A new lower power design wireless temperature sensor is compared with the original design.
Now, you can maintain a NIST-certified flow meter without having to ship it back annually for calibration. Simply order a factory-calibrated cartridge and replace the old one yourself. The latest in next-generation cloning, SureVector harnesses the power of synthetic biology by allowing you to combine standard DNA components to build your own customized vector construct from Agilent’s set of standard parts. Simply design a vector, order or PCR your gene-of-interest and your own custom plasmid is a single reaction away. The SureVector system utilizes a proprietary enzyme blend to enable the rapid and reliable assembly of multiple DNA fragments into a circular, recombinant plasmid containing your target gene. Components of the SureVector system include: bacterial selection markers, bacterial origins of replication, mammalian selection markers, promoters for yeast, mammalian cells and bacteria, and a variety of solubility/affinity tags; enabling functionality in a range of ...
This video documents the repair of a malfunctioning EPC [electronic pneumatics control] module for the FID of an Agilent/HP 6890 gas chromatograph [GC] . ...EPC p/n G1531-60720 The malfunction was the FID air flow could not maintain a desired set flow, and the maximum flow that could be achieved kept dropping. Instead of a flow of 450 mL./min, even a maximum flow of 380 mL/min could not be maintained AND error status was generated by the system. It was decided to take the malfunctioning EPC apart and try a cursory repair... a sort of "what do we have to lose?" One of the "enhancements" of the Agilent 6890 series GCs over the earlier 5890 series is the EPC [electronic pneumatics control] module. The EPC permits digital control of the GC gases as compared to the analog control of manua...

Dave gets a WORLD EXCLUSIVE, a look at the new Agilent 2000 series oscilloscope being released TODAY. Is it going to change the world like Agilent claim?
In this episode Shahriar repairs an Agilent EPM-441A (E4418A) Power Meter. The unit does not boot and displays "Loading firmware...". After monitoring internal digital signals, the problem is traced to a faulty SRAM IC. After replacement, the unit completes the boot-up process. Additionally, the principle operation of power sensors is reviewed including both thermocouple based, as well as diode rectifier based. The block diagram of a USB-based power sensor is examined along with a full teardown of a non-functional power sensor. The detector diode circuitry is examine under a microscope. Finally, the repaired unit is verified for calibration. The Signal Path http://www.TheSignalPath.com
In this episode Shahriar investigates a faulty Agilent E3631A 80W triple output power supply. The instrument powers on, display a fully illuminated VFD display before a long beep and dark screen. The disassembled unit reveals a two board construction. After an unfortunate finger burning experience, the fault is traced to pair of extremely hot voltage regulators and Zener diodes. The temperature of these components is measured using a thermal camera and reach 400C! The schematic of the power supply is examined and the appropriate components are replaced. The performance of the unit is verified after the repair. The Signal Path Blog http://www.TheSignalPath.com

Dwelling in the depths, lurking as unnoticed As
the shadow can't lurk in the gloom of the
Underdark's night Ilythiiri, as we Drow call
ourselves Rejoice life and deeds in the name of
Queen Lloth Whether skinning the human on the
sacrificial altar Or fighting another House to
obtain the bounty of Spider Queen Drow
remembers the wisdom of millenia carved in
blood of ancestors "Who survives is who wins"...
City is shrowded with invisible aura Atmosphere
of black vanity consumes the unsound
Underdark And the male drow is nothing but a
servant So dares not to think - "Matrons know
best" Darkness is the way of the drow Hate and
scorn to all who does not belong to us So death
to the elves, pain to the humans Disgrace to
the dwarves... Drow supreme! "Jal khaless zhah

Behind the backs of the priestess ready to die
by thy word I, Azamath Tormtor, shall not
follow thy path I am free - I own my way
Realize - I am different, I am not thine And thy
rules do not affect me, thy orders are in vain Be
aware of me and thou wilt not be amazed When
thy temples are desecrated and burnt...
Invisible I sneak the caves, to Arach-Tinilith I'm
gradually getting closer and closer And finally
I'm here standing by the walls, unseen
Vel'Xundussa failed once again, the spies are
perfect But I am led by scorn and rage The
spirit of rebellion lives inside of me "Lil waela
lueth waela ragar brorna lueth wund nind,
kyorlin elghinn..." "Oloth zhah tuth abbil lueth

turn against you... Hearken, ye Loethe! I know I
shall perish In battle against thy web that binds
the minds of the drow "To walk apart from the
House and Queen Is to walk into the grave" -
My grave is the flame Nothing can possess me
and noone I obey I am heretic, Og'elend, and I
am proud of my fate So let it all be as it is We
