This clip shows how Airbus uses the Beluga transporter (A300-600ST) to move wings around in Europe. Airbus announced in Jan 2015 that they will add to the fleet more new Belugas based on the larger A330 airframe. When in service by 2020, the larger beluga plane will be able to carry two A350 wings in one flight. Twenty years after its maiden flight, the Beluga continues to play an invaluable role in Airbus’ production activities – with no end in sight. This video traces the innovative airlifter’s history, beginning with its initial design and subsequent first flight in 1994, and highlights how the current five-aircraft fleet is ramping up annual flight hour totals to meet a record order backlog.
You don't see that every day.
Take a look in the shallow coastal waters of the Arctic, and you might just spot a beluga whale. They don't look like your typical whale, though. Adapting to life among sea ice, belugas are all white in color. They also have a ridge on their back instead of a dorsal fin, and a thick layer of blubber. Scientists believe they evolved this way to stay warm in their icy Arctic surroundings. That lump on the beluga's head is called a melon, and it can actually change shape. Scientists think this affects how they use sound as sonar to locate food and to find breathing holes in the Arctic ice sheet. During the colder months, as the Arctic water freezes over and the ice thickens, belugas will migrate south to avoid getting trapped in the ice. They don't want to fall prey to the polar bears or k...
The showman P.T. Barnum first placed live beluga whales on display at the Boston Aquarial Gardens and in the American Museum in New York in 1861. In the late 1950s, the beluga capture industry took off. Alaska quickly became the favored place to capture belugas until the 1970s. Canada became the predominant source for belugas destined for exhibition. This continued until 1992, when beluga capture was banned in Canada. When Canada ceased to be the source of these animals, Russia became the largest provider. Captive breeding of cetaceans is difficult, and most whales and dolphins currently in captivity around the world were deliberately captured—not rescued—from the wild. When the defenseless animals are surrounded by high speed boats and encircled with nets, they are scared and panicked, ...

Follow this grid
To know nothing can be explain
Listen to the words flashing before you and dream of a
new revolution
Energy with compelling reason, for us to live our life
I have a fast car
Like each galaxy having scattered so far away
I can go anywhere
In this fast car
It's a lie that we are only repeating ourselves
We are changing
As birds have outlived the glacial period
I'll keep running
With speed
I'll follow this grid
To know that nothing can be explain
Keep on moving
If you know the truth
