One of my favorite things about this job is being pleasantly surprised at how some cars drive. This Rambler Ambassador Wagon looks old and tired, and in reality, is anything but. The odd combination of parts the owner used to build and fine tune this car results in a driving experience greater than the sum of its parts.

I thought you'd like a look at this ultra-clean 1963 AMC Rambler Classic 660. I mean, this thing is as close to a showroom new car as you'll find. The paint, the interior, and the engine all look just like they did when this car came out of the factory...maybe better. It's powered by the original, numbers-matching drivetrain as well. I was born in 1959 along with this Classic and it has fared much better than me. Introducing a 1959 AMC Rambler Ambassador Super. Powered buy a "sleeper" 327ci with a BorgWarner automatic push-button transmission, THE MILES ARE ACTUAL AT 39,181.
This particular car took over as a speed racer during a time that cars that looked this nice were not supposed to go as fast as this one does. Some of the highlights besides it's lines and good looks are Power Brakes,, newer steering rack and new tires. It does have a couple of minor blemishes in the body (hell...me too) but nothing that can't be addressed. Please come in and see this old-timer and appreciate it's still being around and rarity.

"Beep Beep" is a song by The Playmates . Released in 1958. The song describes a duel between the drivers of a Cadillac and a Nash Rambler on the road. The song was on the Billboard Top 40 charts for twelve weeks, and peaked at #20 ( I've since been told it peaked at #4, my mistake ). It sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc. Concurrently with this song, American Motors (AMC) was setting production and sales records for the Rambler models. The paint, the interior, and the engine all look just like they did when this car came out of the factory...maybe better. It's powered by the original, numbers-matching drivetrain as well. I was born in 1959 along with this Classic and it has fared much better than me. Introducing a 1959 AMC Rambler Ambassador Super. Powered buy a "sleeper" 327ci with a BorgWarner automatic push-button transmission, THE MILES ARE ACTUAL AT 39,181. This particular car took over as a speed racer during a time that cars that looked this nice were not supposed to go as fast as this one does. Some of the highlights besides it's lines and good looks are Power Brakes,, newer steering rack and new tires. It does have a couple of minor blemishes in the body (hell...me too) but nothing that can't be addressed. Please come in and see this old-timer and appreciate it's still being around and rarity.
