A 26-year-old man has pleaded guilty to the "brutal" murder of Vale of Glamorgan teenager Conner Marshall in an attack at a caravan park.
The 18-year-old from Barry died four days after the serious assault at Trecco Bay caravan park in Porthcawl, Bridgend county, on Sunday, 8 March.
Appearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday, David James Braddon, 26, from Caerphilly, admitted carrying out the attack.
He will be sentenced on 3 June.
Speaking after the hearing, Connor's mother described him as, "handsome, kind and caring and very much loved by us, his family and many friends".

A FORMER school bus driver from Penpedairheol has been convicted of indecently assaulting a boy a decade ago.

David Evans, 46, a practising Jehovah's Witness, was found guilty following two trials at Cardiff Crown Court.
At his first trial last summer, a jury failed to agree on verdicts.
Evans, of Gelliron, Penpedairheol, denied the allegations made by a man, now aged in his 20s.
But a second jury convicted him of five charges and he will face sentence next month.
At his first trial, his accuser revealed that he had not told his parents about what happened until last year.
He said he spoke out after spotting Evans in a car with a small boy.
"If the same thing happened to somebody else, I couldn't have lived with myself," he told the court, which heard that Evans was called to a meeting of the elders of his church in Aberbargoed after the allegations were made. He told them the accusations were untrue. Evans was bailed by Judge David Wynn Morgan.

Crown Court
The Crown Court of England and Wales is, together with the High Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal, one of the constituent parts of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. It is the higher court of first instance in criminal cases; however, for some purposes the Crown Court is hierarchically subordinate to the High Court and its Divisional Courts.

Five men jailed for £20,000 Cwmbran biscuits theft
Five men who stole a trailer containing £20,000 of biscuits from a factory in Torfaen have been jailed. The trailer was taken from Burton's Food, Cwmbran, on 17 June last year. Cardiff Crown Court heard the men, from Cheshire and Liverpool, had abandoned the trailer, worth about £10,000, which was later found but the biscuits have not been recovered. They all admitted theft-related charges and were given jail terms ranging from 44 to 16 months. As the men were sentenced, one of them shouted "would you like a biscuit?". She repeatedly asked him to 'f*** me harder', the defence claims, before suggesting the alleged victim had a history of wanting rough sex with other partners.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was cross-examined this afternoon after giving evidence from behind a curtain at Evans' retrial.
She disputed the claim that she was 'taking the lead' on sexual positions and told jurors she had no recollection of any sexual activity on the night of the alleged rape.
Former Premier League striker Evans preyed on the then 'heavily intoxicated' woman after his friend brought her back to a budget hotel room, jurors have been told.
The prosecution today asked her about two other sexual partners, a customer she met at work who she slept with before the alleged rape and a childhood friend she had sex with afterwards.
The woman again denied using the words 'f*** me harder' with those sexual partners.
She was also asked whether there were ever occasions when she woke up in the morning and asked 'what happened' the night before. The woman replied: 'No'.
Evans, 27, who now plays for League One side Chesterfield, is facing a retrial over allegations he attacked the complainant in May 2011.
The striker was previously found guilty of rape but this conviction was later quashed by the Court of Appeal, Cardiff Crown Court was told.

Five men who stole a trailer containing £20,000 of biscuits from a factory in Torfaen have been jailed.
The trailer was taken from Burton's Food, Cwmbran, on 17 June last year.
Cardiff Crown Court heard the men, from Cheshire and Liverpool, had abandoned the trailer, worth about £10,000, which was later found but the biscuits have not been recovered.
They all admitted theft-related charges and were given jail terms ranging from 44 to 16 months.
As the men were sentenced, one of them shouted "would you like a biscuit?".

The court heard a month later the five men travelled in convoy from Kent to Cwmbran, leaving the lager trailer behind, and planned to take another containing "biscuits and other food stuff".
Prosecutor Jason Howells said, on arrival, one of the men presented himself as a DHL worker who had been instructed to take a load to Liverpool.
When the trailer was driven out without stopping to hand over paperwork the alarm was raised.
The biscuit trailer was found abandoned in a lay-by on the M62 motorway but neither the lager or the biscuits have been found.
The production value of the biscuits was £12,400 but the retail value about £20,000.
Edgerton, 35, who was already on remand at HMP Altcourse, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to four theft-related charges, handling stolen goods and driving while disqualified and was handed a 44-month jail term, as well a three-year driving ban.
Price, 38, of no fixed abode, admitted five theft charges and handling stolen goods and was jailed for 40 months.
Kieron Price, 28, of Runcorn, Cheshire, admitted driving a vehicle taken without consent and two counts of theft and was sentenced to 12 months.
Stephen Burrows, 36, a prisoner at HMP Dovegate, Staffordshire, admitted theft and being carried in a vehicle taken without consent, and was given 16 months.
Aaron Walsh, 25, of Liverpool, admitted four counts of theft and was handed a 16-month sentence.
The court heard Kieron Price had "an exemplary background" in the Army but suffered from PTSD while Edgerton's barrister argued it was "not his plans".
Defence for Burrows and Walsh claimed they played "limited" roles, while Paul Price had lost his job and was said to have regretted his actions.
Kieron Price was also sentenced to six months for a separate offence of possession of cannabis with intent.

The court also heard how the Jehovah's Witnesses did not provide anything to police during their investigation and even destroyed evidence showing allegations of child abuse and rape, reports Wales Online.
Prosecutor Caroline Rees told the court: "We have made every inquiry with the church – both the local church and the national church. All the material has been destroyed due to the passage of time."
