I and my family took a vacation to the area around Rapid City, SD. This included a drive through the Needles Highway, part of a longer scenic highway system(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Needles_Highway).
Near one of the entrances was this granite tunnel through which was traversing this charter bus. As a bus driver myself I was mesmerized by this attempt and truly believed the bus was not going to make it.

By the way, I wanted to mention a couple of other things.
First, I recently added "closed captions." Viewers can now read the text of my commentary in a language other than English.
Second, someone on YouTube has copied, edited and posted to YouTube this original video. I have contacted YouTube regarding this violation of the TOS, but have yet to hear from them, and the pirated video is still up. Charter
A charter is the grant of authority or rights, stating that the granter formally recognizes the prerogative of the recipient to exercise the rights specified. It is implicit that the granter retains superiority (or sovereignty), and that the recipient admits a limited (or inferior) status within the relationship, and it is within that sense that charters were historically granted, and that sense is retained in modern usage of the term.
The word entered the English language from the Old French charte (ultimately from the Latin word for "paper"). It has come to be synonymous with the document that lays out the granting of rights or privileges.
Colloquial usages
The term is used for a special case (or as an exception) to an institutional charter. A charter school, for example, is one that has different rules, regulations, and statutes from a state school.
Charter is sometimes used as a synonym for 'tool' or 'lease', as in the 'charter' of a bus or boat by an organization, intended for a similar group destination.

Bill Maher
William "Bill" Maher (/ˈmɑːr/; born January 20, 1956) is an American comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, media critic, and television host. As a television host, he is well known for the HBO political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher (2003–present). Maher previously hosted a similar late-night show called Politically Incorrect, originally on Comedy Central and later on ABC.
Maher is known for his sarcastic attitude,political satire and sociopolitical commentary. He targets many topics including religion, politics, bureaucracies, political correctness, and the mass media.
Maher supports the legalization of cannabis and same-sex marriage. His critical views of religion were the basis for the 2008 documentary film Religulous. He is a supporter of animal rights, having served on the board of PETA since 1997, and is an advisory board member of Project Reason. In 2005, Maher ranked at number 38 on Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time. He received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star on September 14, 2010.

I and my family took a vacation to the area around Rapid City, SD. This included a drive through the Needles Highway, part of a longer scenic highway system(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Needles_Highway).
Near one of the entrances was this granite tunnel through which was traversing this charter bus. As a bus driver myself I was mesmerized by this attempt and truly believed the bus was not going to make it.

By the way, I wanted to mention a couple of other things.
First, I recently added "closed captions." Viewers can now read the text of my commentary in a language other than English.
Second, someone on YouTube has copied, edited and posted to YouTube this original video.
