The Crown Court of England and Wales is, together with the High Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal, one of the constituent parts of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. It is the higher court of first instance in criminal cases; however, for some purposes the Crown Court is hierarchically subordinate to the High Court and its Divisional Courts.
The Crown Court sits in around 92 locations in England and Wales. The administration of the Crown Court is conducted through HM Courts Service. Previously conducted across six circuits (Midland, Northern, North Eastern, South Eastern, Wales & Chester and Western), HM Courts and Tribunals Service is now divided into seven regions: Midlands, North East, North West, South East, South West, London and Wales. The Wales region was identified separately, having regard to the devolved legislative powers of the Welsh Assembly Government. When the Crown Court sits in the City of London it is known as the Central Criminal Court. The "Central Criminal Court" at the Old Bailey, originally established by its own Act of Parliament, is a Crown Court centre, and is the venue at which many of the most serious criminal cases are heard.

William Baker, a local character, is charged with Grievous Bodily Harm. A wonderful "theatrical" performance by Arthur English as the defendant, perhaps best known as Mr Harman from "Are You Being Served?". Appearing as the prosecuting counsel is Thorley Walters, character actor who appeared in most TV shows at some point, including Worzel Gummidge (as Colonel Bloodstock) as well as in films such as "Murder She Said" with Margaret Rutherford.

Rita Finch, house mistress at a care home, is accused of indecent assault on one of the boys in her charge. Patricia Routledge, of "Keeping Up Appearances" and "Hetty Wainthrop" fame, gives a wonderful powerful yet understated performance here as defendant Rita. Jeremy Clyde, playing the Defence Counsel, is perhaps best known playing another lawyer in the comedy "Is it Legal?". Robert Glenister (Kevin Laurence) would go on to appear memorably in one of the best Doctor Who adventures, The Caves of Androzani. George Waring, who plays Donald Miller, will also be known to Doctor Who fans for his appearance in "The Ice Warriors" as Arden. Lastly, June Jago as Adelaide Perkins, will be recognised by Carry On aficionados as Sister Hoggett in "Carry On Doctor".
Another episode of Crown Court. Robert Scard (Ray McAnally) is charged with fraud. As well as the usual sterling performances by Richard Wilson, Alison Steadman (Abigail's Party) makes an early appearance. A couple of alumni from Doctor Who also appear in the form of Colin Jeavons (The Underwater Menace) and TP McKenna (The Greatest Show in the Galaxy). (c) 1976 ITV Studios Ltd.
Kenneth Eden is indicted with theft and indecent assault on a minor. Another great story here with powerful performances. Lots of known actors here, especially from the world of Doctor Who! Peter Copley, playing the Judge, was in "Pyramids of Mars". Geoffrey Palmer, playing the accused, was in "The Silurians" and others. Anne Reid, here as Florence Davenport, was in the "Curse of Fenric". Prosecuting Counsel, played by Vernon Dobtcheff, appeared in "The War Games" and Jacqueline Hill (as the wife of the accused) was Barbara Wright, one of the first companions to William Hartnell's Doctor. Director Richard Martin also worked on early Doctor Who adventures. Tony Caunter was also in Doctor Who in "Colony in Space" but will be probably be best known as Roy in EastEnders, as was Lizzie Power (...

Some "Doctor Who" alumni here too: John Normington (Ronald) played Morgus in "The Caves of Androzani". Peter Jeffrey had parts in "The Macra Terror" and "The Androids of Tara". Playing the judge, John Barron was also known as CJ in "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin". Meg Johnson (Tricia) appeared in numerous episodes of comedy shows penned by Victoria Wood.

See the creature - unconscious
squeeze and lean - they sleep
cathed in nature`s paradise
at spring of beauty - they rise
feeling mood - or a disease
always tested - and deceive
deceive about - brightness - darkness
storm and breeze - alternating
fast - slow
to unconsciousness
expunge the human mistakes
unconsciousness
make success and trespass
-repeat-
dreams become reality
saw the doctor`s face laughing
arms are broken, one leg is remove
the bain is handing on - threads
calling the god
who direct all mortals
cry for the CROWN COURT
who has white garments
cry for the CROWN COURT
who has pungent tools
calling the god
to stop the inhuman
- killing, killing, killing
torture, torture, torture
cry for ...
... to stop the inhuman killing
