Central Park is an urban park in middle-upper Manhattan, within New York City, New York. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States as well as one of the most filmed locations in the world.
It was established in 1857 on 778 acres (315 ha) of city-owned land. In 1858, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, two soon-to-be famed national landscapers and architects, won a design competition to improve and expand the park with a plan they titled the "Greensward Plan". Construction began the same year and the park's first area was opened to the public in the winter of 1858. Construction continued during the American Civil War further south, and was expanded to its current size of 843 acres (341 ha) in 1873.
It was designated a National Historic Landmark (listed by the U.S. Department of the Interior and administered by the National Park Service) in 1962. The Park was managed for decades by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, and is currently managed by the Central Park Conservancy under contract with the municipal government in a public-private partnership. The Conservancy is a non-profit organization that contributes 75 percent of Central Park's $65 million annual budget and is responsible for all basic care of the 843-acre park.
Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (born July 9, 1956) is an American actor and filmmaker. He is known for his roles in Splash (1984), Big (1988), Philadelphia (1993), Forrest Gump (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Saving Private Ryan, You've Got Mail (both 1998), The Green Mile (1999), Cast Away (2000), The Da Vinci Code (2006), Captain Phillips, and Saving Mr. Banks (both 2013), as well as for his voice work in the animated films The Polar Express (2004) and the Toy Story series.
Hanks has been nominated for numerous awards during his career. He won a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Philadelphia, as well as a Golden Globe, an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a People's Choice Award for Best Actor for his role in Forrest Gump. In 2004, he received the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
Hanks is also known for his collaboration with film director Steven Spielberg on Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can (2002), The Terminal (2004), and Bridge of Spies (2015), as well as the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers, which launched Hanks as a successful director, producer, and writer. In 2010, Spielberg and Hanks were executive producers on the HBO miniseries The Pacific (a companion piece to Band of Brothers).
With its endless trails, hidden nooks, museums and nearby night spots, Central Park is that rare tourist destination that is also a pleasure ground for locals. What happens when hundreds of people are gathered at the edge of Central Park to play Pokemon Go at 11pm'ish and a Vaporeon shows up in the park? Well....this! I didn't catch the front of the pack that was sprinting into the park like a herd of wildebeest. Special shout out to the guy at the start of the video that jumped out of his car, left the engine running and darted off to claim the grand prize. Disclaimer: yes, this is me filming on Thursday, July 14th. I own all rights to the video.

http://www.expedia.com/Central-Park-New-York-and-vicinity.d6056463.Vacation-Attraction New York City’s Central Park, which is made up of lakes, gardens, and meadows, spans more than 50 blocks. It was originally envisioned as a space where anyone – no matter what their station in life – could meditate and interact. These days, America’s most famous urban center hosts over 30 million visitors per year. You’ll find a multitude of things to do if you’re sightseeing in Central Park. Sit down for a picnic on the Great Lawn, or wander through the park’s bridges and pathways, looking for its many sculptures. If you know where to look, you’ll find Hans Christian Andersen and Balto the sled dog. Traveling with a loved one? Why not share a kiss at the Bethesda Fountain and Terrace? Alternatively, y...

http://www.expedia.com/Times-Square-New-York.d502080.Vacation-Attraction When you’ve explored Central Park and Midtown Manhattan, it’s time to tour Times Square. This is the glowing center of the New York Theater District. When you picture New York, Times Square is probably the second thing that comes to mind (after the city’s famous skyline), with its neon signs, giant buildings, and constant stream of humanity coming and going. Times Square adopted its name in 1904, after the New York Times moved in. The newspaper has since moved on, but the moniker stuck. Once you arrive in the Big Apple, head on down to the center of Times Square, where you’ll find a plaza for you to sit, hang out, and people-watch. Shop at the many stores lining the Square, or lean back to see the top of notable bu...

First few horns and the squeak of brakes
Knock on the door and the city wakes
But you, you're still sleeping
And you, you're in love
Painting a pretty picture
How I wish, more of this were drew
But you, you're in London
And you, you're still in love
Fuck this, I'm a go out walking
Rent a bike and make a few laps in Central Park in the dark
Love is just a memory
Love along the shadow in my heart, in my heart
This is where you'll stay, while I'm at the Hudson
I'd like to see my name above the door
It says we, we're still in Brooklyn
And we, we're never in but you're always welcome
