In Babel, a tragic incident involving an American couple in Morocco sparks a chain of events for four families in different countries throughout the world. In the struggle to overcome isolation, fear, and displacement, each character discovers that it is family that ultimately provides solace. In the remote sands of the Moroccan desert, a rifle shot rings out -- detonating a chain of events that will link an American tourist couple's frantic struggle to survive, two Moroccan boys involved in an accidental crime, a nanny illegally crossing into Mexico with two American children and a Japanese teen rebel whose father is sought by the police in Tokyo. Separated by clashing cultures and sprawling distances, each of these four disparate groups of people are nevertheless hurtling towards a shared destiny of isolation and grief. Babel (film)
Babel is a 2006 drama film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and written by Guillermo Arriaga, starring an ensemble cast. The multi-narrative drama completes González Iñárritu's Death Trilogy, following Amores perros and 21 Grams. It is an international co-production among companies based in the US, Mexico, and France. The film portrays multiple stories taking place in Morocco, Japan, Mexico and the US.
Babel was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, where González Iñárritu won the Best Director Award. It was later screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film opened in selected cities in the United States on 27 October 2006, and went into wide release on 10 November 2006. Babel won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Drama, and received seven Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and two for Best Supporting Actress, winning for Best Original Score.

MaxFloRec prezentuje 4. singiel wielokulturowego projektu Rebel Babel (dotychczasowe „Jak słowo daję”, „Bike Band” i „Lingon Lingon” także zobaczycie na naszym kanale). W „Manifeście” usłyszycie kolejną mieszankę artystów reprezentujących różne style i języki. Tym razem w jednym numerze udzielają się współzałożyciel orkiestry L.U.C, znany Wam reprezentant naszego wydawnictwa - GrubSon, legenda europejskiego hip-hopu Promoe z kolektywu Looptroop oraz pionierzy hiszpańskiego rapu Rapsusklei i Wöyza. Jak zwykle artystów połączył Jan Feat., Duńczyk polskiego pochodzenia, kompozytor i performer, mózg całego przedsięwzięcia. Swój bit dorzucił też jeden z naszych producentów BRK.
„Manifest” to głośny i energetyczny sygnał inicjowania wielkiego trans-kulturowego dialogu oraz próba rekonstrukcji mostu do tego, co w sztuce i życiu najistotniejsze - współistnienia ponad jakimikolwiek podziałami i poczucia zbiorowej świadomości każdego z nas. To międzynarodowa wymiana nie tylko dźwięków słów i stylów, ale i temperamentów, przekonań, wrażeń i talentów.
Wideo powstawało kilka miesięcy w różnych częściach Europy.
