Secrets Of The Pueblo (SECRET ANCIENT HISTORY DOCUMENTARY)
Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, contains some of the earliest surviving dwellings in North America. Over 1,000 years ago these Native Americans built sophisticated systems of housing in the canyon. The most elaborate of the nineteen towns, known as Great Houses, was Pueblo Bonito. Founded with a cluster of twenty rooms around the year 1000 A.D., Pueblo Bonito grew into a four-story complex by 1150 A.D. Because most of the 800 rooms in the complex are of roughly equal size, archaeologists surmise that the inhabitants lived in an egalitarian society that lacked social hierarchy. Each Great House contained at least one partially underground ceremonial room known as "kiva"--Pueblo Bonita contained 37 of them. What was the function of these "kivas"? They may have been gathering places for men who lived in a highly matriarchal society. Because of their position under the ground, it is believed that "kivas" may also have been used in ancient rituals whose purpose was to tap energy from the earth. When drought began to strike the Four Corners country many "kivas" were built outside the city to appease the rain spirit. Some scientists believe that the lack of rain forced these Native Americans to leave their homes and join neighboring tribes. In this episode we will try to find out what really happened to the inhabitants of Chaco Canyon.

Taos Pueblo is an ancient pueblo belonging to a Taos (Northern Tiwa) speaking Native American tribe of Pueblo people. It is approximately 1000 years old. They are considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States.
Most archeologists believe that the Taos Indians along with other Pueblo Indians settled along the Rio Grande migrated from the Four Corners region. The dwellings of that region were inhabited by the Ancient Pueblo Peoples (Anasazi), and a long drought in the area in the late 13th century may have caused them to move to the Rio Grande where the water supply was more dependable.
Throughout its early years, Taos Pueblo was a central point of trade between the native populations along the Rio Grande and their neighbors to the northeast, the Plains Tribes.

Ballots Drop in Mail Just Five Days After Clinton's Visit
On Wednesday, October 12, Hillary Clinton will campaign in Pueblo, Colorado. At a public voter registration event, Clinton will lay out the high stakes of this election for Coloradans as well as her vision for an America that is stronger together, with an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.
Clinton will also urge supporters to make sure they're registered to vote. Colorado has the highest percentage of registered voters of any state in the country and voters can visit iwillvote.com to check their registration status.
The 2016 election is the first presidential election in Colorado in which every active voter will get their ballot in the mail. Clinton will remind voters that ballots will be mailed beginning October 17 and urge them to return their ballots early.

Pueblo
Pueblos are modern and old communities of Native Americans in the Southwestern United States. The first Spanish explorers of the Southwest used this term to describe the communities housed in apartment-like structures built of stone, adobe mud, and other local material. These structures were usually multi-storied buildings surrounding an open plaza. The rooms were accessible only through ladders lowered by the inhabitants, thus protecting them from break-ins and unwanted guests. They were occupied by hundreds to thousands of Pueblo people in the larger ones. Several different federally recognized tribes have traditionally resided in pueblos of such design.
Etymology and usage
The word pueblo is the Spanish word for "town" or "village". It comes from the Latin root word populus meaning "people".
Of the federally recognized Native American communities in the Southwest, those designated by the King of Spain as pueblo at the time Spain ceded territory to the United States, after the American Revolutionary War, are legally recognized as Pueblo by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Some of the pueblos also came under jurisdiction of the United States, in its view, by its treaty with Mexico, which had briefly gained rule over territory in the Southwest ceded by Spain after Mexican independence. There are 21 federally recognized Pueblos that are home to Pueblo people. Their official federal names are as follows:

Secrets Of The Pueblo (SECRET ANCIENT HISTORY DOCUMENTARY) Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, contains some of the earliest surviving dwellings in North America. Over 1,000 years ago these Native Americans built sophisticated systems of housing in the canyon. The most elaborate of the nineteen towns, known as Great Houses, was Pueblo Bonito. Founded with a cluster of twenty rooms around the year 1000 A.D., Pueblo Bonito grew into a four-story complex by 1150 A.D. Because most of the 800 rooms in the complex are of roughly equal size, archaeologists surmise that the inhabitants lived in an egalitarian society that lacked social hierarchy. Taos Pueblo is an ancient pueblo belonging to a Taos (Northern Tiwa) speaking Native American tribe of Pueblo people. It is approximately 1000 years old. They are considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States. Most archeologists believe that the Taos Indians along with other Pueblo Indians settled along the Rio Grande migrated from the Four Corners region. The dwellings of that region were inhabited by the Ancient Pueblo Peoples (Anasazi), and a long drought in the area in the late 13th century may have caused them to move to the Rio Grande where the water supply was more dependable.
