One man has been seriously injured and another arrested after an incident in the car park of a shopping centre in Melbourne's north.
Police were called to Northland Shopping Centre in Preston after reports a man had been hit by a car shortly before 2pm on Friday.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and will be interviewed by police.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance, Victoria Police said in a statement.
Police said it's believed the men were known to each other.
