A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after crashing into a deer south of Perth.
The male driver was riding a blue Honda motorcycle when he hit a deer on the side of the road on Kwinana Freeway, Karnup around 1am on Friday morning.
The 31-year-old Kiara driver broke several bones in the accident and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital.
The deer died in the crash.
Police are investigating whether speed was a factor in the crash.
The 31-year-old man will be charged with having no authority to drive and will appear in court at a later date.
