Plot: Giving in to intense media pressure, the Home Minister in Delhi finally instructs the Central Bureau of Investigation to depute Special Officer Siddhant Chaturvedi to travel to Jhanjhar, Bihar, and work together with Pratap Kumar to try and locate three medical students from M.K. Gandhi Medical College. The three students, Gautam Sharma, Dhirush Patel and Dinu were in Jhanjhar to celebrate Dusshera and were scheduled to return back to Delhi. Ramesh Jain, the student Union President, informs the media that the trio were arrested by Jhanjhar Police and since then their whereabouts are unknown. Jhanjhar Police deny that the students were ever there, and are hostile, compelling the CBI to bring in more agents. While differences crop up between investigative tactics of the two agents, upper Caste Hindus, aided by the police, target the fearful Dalits and lower-caste Hindus, brutally torturing them and setting their houses on fire. With the entire local community refusing to come forward with any information, and pressure from the Chief CBI Chief to withdraw, the duo must now consider using other methods to try and find out what really happened to the three students.

Plot: Pranali relates her story to U.S.-based Judy, starting with her birth in an impoverished village near the Karnataka and Maharashtra border where families are forced to eat mice. The Mahant spots her during 1996 and compels her to wed 'Dev' and become a Devdasi. Her mother protests, but her father overturns all objections and presents his daughter to this outlawed practice. Young and unknowing, she is forced to be intimate with the Mahant and then sold to a politician for 20 acres of land. Before she could be molested, she manages to escape, files a police complaint, only to be sent to a Nari Ashram where wealthy males and politicians seek sexual favors. Then during 2003, she is then sold to Akka, a brothel-owner at Laxmi Nagar, Mumbai. It is here she will meet and befriend several other prostitutes including Chanda, Shakila, and Kanchi. Shortly thereafter she becomes pregnant, and despite Akka's advice for an abortion, decides to keep the baby, a girl she subsequently names Roshni. While she continues to make a living in squalid, unhealthy conditions, she faces challenges after she goes to secure school admission for her daughter - a move that will pit her against goons, politicians, and corrupt police.

Plot: Orphaned Roshni lives a poor-lifestyle with her maternal uncle, Gulal, and his wife, and they do Nautanki (singing and dancing) from village to village for a living. Lusty Thakur Gajraj Singh, who will shortly become an MLA, takes a liking to Roshni and, together with bandit Bhairav Singh, abduct Roshni in her bridal gear, killing Sharad, and having their way with her. Roshni survives, decides to complain to the Police, not only refuse to take any action, but the Police Inspector in Charge also has his way with her. Humiliated, she is left on the streets, rescued by kind-hearted bandit, Shankara, who recruits her and she swears to avenge her humiliation by killing her molesters. She unleashes a wave of terror attacks, prompting the government to assign Inspector Ramesh Kumar to arrest her at any and all costs. The question remains, does Roshni have enough time to carry out her vengeance before being arrested by Ramesh Kumar?
