Kim Green and Susan Pettitt headline the Giants Netball team that will contest the new Australian netball league, further pillaging the already-depleted NSW Swifts.
The side, jointly run by Netball NSW and the GWS Giants and coached by former Swifts mentor Julie Fitzgerald, has pull together a strong roster which also includes England internationals Serena Guthrie and Jo Harten and promising defender Kristiana Manu'a, the 20-year-old who recently debuted for the Diamonds.
The loss of foundation players Green and Pettitt is a further blow to Swifts coach Rob Wright, who has already seen his best defender and shooter in Sharni Layton and Caitlin Thwaites leave to join Collingwood's star-studded squad.
