私： それは違います。 アイヌまたはオロッコとか他の民族は祖先が縄文人ですので、 言語はかなり違いました。 縄文時代は大昔です。地球の言語の中で、そんなに長く話している言語は全くないです。 英語でも同じです。１０００年前の英語は、現在聞いたら全く分からない。別語です。 言語はそういうもんです。 奈良時代の日本語を見てみれば、ずいぶん違います。 現在の日本語の語源は弥生時代からなんです。弥生時代に、渡来きた、人たちが話していた言語は日本語の語源。

私： いいえ。 それはありえないです。 それは骨や道具を見てみれば発見されたことです。 中国の古い歴史本を見て、日本について色々が分かります。 ２０００年前、中国の本に書かれていたのは、日本は「倭」という国。みんなが一緒の国ではなく、 民族はそれぞれにすんでいた国だった。言語のそれぞれ、習慣もそれぞれ。人の骨を見てみれば、戦いもあったし、ある民族が他の民族を殺したと理解できます。 都道府県それぞれの歴史を一つずつ歴史を見れば、日本全国の歴史も分かります。 田んぼ作りの習慣は中国から日本へ、弥生時代の前はそういう習慣はなかったんです。おはしも中国から広げた習慣。 どうして、中国が関係ない！っていう人がいるのかわけわからない。 人骨観れば、歴史が明らかに分かります。その科学者が発見した歴史の跡を信じるかどうか関係なく、事実は事実。

The order is sorted by the tribe with majority of population first.

Ethnic group
An ethnic group or ethnicity is a category of people who identify with each other based on common ancestral, social, cultural or national experience. Unlike most other social groups, ethnicity is primarily an inherited status. Membership of an ethnic group tends to be defined by a shared cultural heritage, ancestry, origin myth, history, homeland, language and/or dialect, symbolic systems such as religion, mythology and ritual, cuisine, dressing style, art, and physical appearance.
Ethnic groups, derived from the same historical founder population, often continue to speak related languages and share a similar gene pool. By way of language shift, acculturation, adoption and religious conversion, it is possible for some individuals or groups to leave one ethnic group and become part of another (except for ethnic groups emphasizing racial purity as a key membership criterion).
Ethnicity is often used synonymously with ambiguous terms such as nation or people.

Ethnic issues in Japan
The Japanese Constitution states that "there shall be no discrimination in political, economic or social relations because of race." At least one native people-group (the Ainu) was formally recognized by the Japanese government for the first time in 1997. However, non-citizens who were born in Japan or elsewhere can be legally restricted from certain services and activities. According to census statistics, 98.5% of the population of Japan are Japanese, with the remainder being foreign nationals residing in Japan. However, these statistics measure citizenship, not ethnicity, with all domestic minorities such as the Ainu, Ryukyuans, Burakumin, Hafu, and naturalized immigrants being counted as simply "Japanese." The Japanese government refuses to collect data on the ethnic identities of its citizens, claiming that there are no issues of race relations among Japanese citizens as they are all of the same race.
Demographic
About 1.6% of Japan's total legal resident population are foreign nationals. Of these, according to 2012 data from the Japanese government, the principal groups are as follows.

This innovative book investigates the process through which ethnic minorities penetrate into higher echelons of political power: specifically, how they succeed in getting elected to the U.s. Congress. Analysts today see ethnic politicians largely in relation to their collectivities, but by actually studying what ethnic minority politicians do and the issues they have faced, Jiménez's book offers an original perspective of analysis. Jiménez utilizes a ground-breaking comparative dataset of elected members of Congress organized upon the basis of national origin, the first available. Using the cases of Mexican-americans and Italian-americans, Jimenez analyzes and compares the different ways that these ethnic politicians have been elected to the national legislature from the beginning of the 20th century until the present. Her study examines Italian and Mexican-american politicians actions and interactions with local political parties, identifies various layers of political power that have influenced their successes and failures, and uncovers the strategies that they have used. Jimenez argues that the politically active segment of an ethnic group matters in the process of political incorporation of a group. She also asserts that regular access of ethnic groups into upper levels of political office and the full acceptance of new ethnic players only occurs as a consequence of an institutional change.jiménezs pioneering documentation and analysis of the strategies of ethnic minority politicians and the ways that political institutions have influenced these politicians is significant to scholars of political incorporation, race and ethnicity, and congressional elections. Her book demonstrates the need to reconsider several standard ideas of how minority representation occurs and deepens our understanding of the role that political institutions play in that process.

In Ethnic Humor in Multiethnic America, David Gillota explores the ways in which contemporary comic works both reflect and participate in national conversations about race and ethnicity.gillota investigates the manner in which various humorists respond to multiculturalism and the increasing diversity of the American population. On May 29, 2015, the U.S. Census Bureau held the Forum on Ethnic Groups from the Middle East and North Africa. During the forum, the Census Bureau updated participants on efforts to test a “Middle Eastern or North African” (MENA) category on the 2015 National Content Test. Feedback was collected on the term “Middle Eastern or North African,” and the Census Bureau’s plans to classify and tabulate Middle Eastern and North African responses for the 2020 Census.

Larger ethnic groups may be organized into smaller sub-ethnic groups known as tribes, which over time may become separate ethnic groups themselves (a process known as ethnogenesis); ethnic groups derived from the same historical founder population often continue to speak related languages and may be considered to be ethno-linguistic groups (e.g. Iranian peoples, Slavic peoples, Bantu peoples, Turkic peoples, Austronesian peoples, Nilotic peoples, etc.).
