The title is a pun on the name of Kitty Pryde, the youngest X-Man. The series for which this episode was intended to launch never materialized; Marvel Productions would have to go back to the drawing board for 1992's X-Men. Funding for this pilot actually came from the budget for RoboCop: The Animated Series. Instead of making a 13th episode of RoboCop, Marvel Productions decided to use their funding to have Toei Animation produce the animation for this pilot. The pilot itself is most specifically influenced by issues #129-139 of Uncanny X-Men.

They are fronted by lead singer Brian Mannix and originally included Chuck Hargreaves on guitar, Steve Harrison on bass guitar, Nick Manthandos on drums and Ron Thiessen on guitar. John Kirk replaced Harrison and Craig Waugh replaced Manthandos by 1984.
The band's debut album, 'Cos Life Hurts, peaked at #2 on the Australian Kent Music Report in 1985, and included their highest charting single "50 Years" which reached #6 on the singles chart. Thiessen left to be replaced temporarily by Joey Amenta on guitar and more permanently by Brett Kingman. Their second album, What You Give is What You Get!, was released in 1986 and peaked at #11, it included the Top 20 hit single "I Am". After disbanding in 1987 there was a brief reunion during 1998. In March 2011, the band played three gigs with Tim Rosewarne (guest keyboards; The Chelsea Heights Hotel (17 March 2011), Trak Live Lounge Bar, Toorak Melbourne (18 March 2011) and the V8 Supercar Clipsal 500 event in South Australia (19 March 2011). The band played a new original song, 'Take it from Me', for its encore performance at the Chelsea Heights Hotel. In March 2011, the band re-entered the studio to record a number of new original songs.

at the offices of Mushroom records Albert park.
Live scenes shot a night club in Russel Street Melbourne. Cant remember what it was called
for the simple reason it has had so many name changes it has faded in my memory.
Staging and lighting for the live scenes were directed by Warren Amster he did a great job.
The exterior love shots were shot a music festival at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.
Those images were shot on Eastman Kodak reversal
and from memory may have either processed at teh Channel 7 labs South Melbourne or the Channel 10 labs in Nunawading.
The success of the video was that it showed the band a dynamic live performing band.
The Myer Music Bowl shots portrayed the band as an act bigger that they actually were at the time.
At the time all the other local acts were producing super groovy videos loaded with the hottest FX of the time which in retrospect look kind of dated.
This video I believe still has a lot of punch because it genuinely captured the act for what it was.
A rock and roll power house.
The band were essentially great to work with.
It's a pity we didn't do more for them. This video gained an enormous amount of airplay and hence the song went to number one. I believe it have been their only number one.
sorry about the quality. I lost the original in a fire.

Scenes with Maurie Fields ((August 4th, 1925-December 18, 1995) filmed on location
at the offices of Mushroom records Albert park.
Live scenes shot a night club in Russel Street Melbourne. Cant remember what it was called
for the simple reason it has had so many name changes it has faded in my memory.
Staging and lighting for the live scenes were directed by Warren Amster he did a great job.
The exterior love shots were shot a music festival at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.
Those images were shot on Eastman Kodak reversal
and from memory may have either processed at teh Channel 7 labs South Melbourne or the Channel 10 labs in Nunawading.
The success of the video was that it showed the band a dynamic live performing band.
The Myer Music Bowl shots portrayed the band as an act bigger that they actually were at the time.
At the time all the other local acts were producing super groovy videos loaded with the hottest FX of the time which in retrospect look kind of dated.
This video I believe still has a lot of punch because it genuinely captured the act for what it was.
A rock and roll power house.
The band were essentially great to work with.
It's a pity we didn't do more for them. This video gained an enormous amount of airplay and hence the song went to number one. I believe it have been their only number one.
sorry about the quality. I lost the original in a fire.
And I thank who ever it was that originally uploaded this version as it enabled me to grab from Youtube.
Youtube without a doubt is a wonder of the modern age.
