Jake may refer to:
"Rise of the Cybermen" is the fifth episode of the second series of the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who. The episode introduces a non-extraterrestrial reinvention of the Cybermen, as well as a parallel universe which would serve as a recurring plot element in the series. It is the first part of a two-part story, the concluding part being "The Age of Steel". The TARDIS becomes stranded in an alternative universe where Rose Tyler's father is alive and corporations are closely involved with the British government; one such corporation is Cybus Industries, which is being countered by an underground resistance. The Doctor, Rose and Mickey Smith discover a plot by Cybus co-founder John Lumic to convert the population of London into monotonous cybernetic creatures resembling enemies the Doctor has faced before.
The episode was first broadcast on 13 May 2006. It was directed by Graeme Harper, who became the first and so far only man in the show's history to have directed episodes in both the original and revived runs of the series: he previously directed the acclaimed serial The Caves of Androzani in 1984, and Revelation of the Daleks in 1985.
Jake the Dog is, along with Finn the Human, a fictional character and one of the main cast in the American animated television series Adventure Time created by Pendleton Ward. He is voiced by John DiMaggio. The character made his debut in the original pilot. Jake is Finn's best friend and adoptive brother. He is a shape-shifting dog who is in his 30s in "magical dog years". He was conceived by Joshua and an extra-dimensional creature and as a result, Jake can stretch, shrink, or mold any part of his body to any shape and almost any size, ranging from becoming gigantic to becoming incredibly small. He acts as a confidant and mentor to his energetic brother, though has a tendency to give somewhat questionable advice. Jake has a laid-back attitude in most situations, but loves adventure and will eagerly fight when he needs to. His powers help Finn considerably in combat and transportation, but are also sometimes used as nothing more than jovial forms of expression. Jake is in a relationship with Lady Rainicorn voiced by Niki Yang; they have five children together as seen in "Jake the Dad". He met Lady in the pilot episode and is quite skilled at playing the viola, which houses a worm called Shelby.
Harris may refer to:
Harris was an American rock band formed in Lowell, Massachusetts in 2000. The group independently released one studio album, The Light Is Seeping Through the Cracks, along with numerous EPs, before disbanding in April 2009.
Harris was formed by vocalist/bassist Mike Nastri and guitarist Matt Scott in 2000 while they attended UMass Lowell. After releasing several EPs, Harris independently recorded, produced, and released their only full-length album, The Light Is Seeping Through the Cracks, in 2005. The album's release was followed by a self-booked tour of the United States and Canada, which was met with mixed reviews. Harris toured Europe in the summer of 2008, and amicably disbanded in April 2009 due to the members' increasing family and career obligations. Their final recording, Snake Says Woof, was released on April 18, 2009 at their last show, which took place at the legendary Middle East Downstairs nightclub in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Harris's music was rooted in rock but was made up of diverse styles, with influences such as The Police. The Boston Herald described the band's music as a dynamic mix of "smooth sounds and harsher, heavier clashes". "We try to mix as many genres as we possibly can and try to come out with a coherent, original sound," drummer Rob Lynch described. Harris had a shared writing process among its five members, who would switch instruments in order to share ideas. Harris frequently played in the Boston area, and was described by Northeast Performer as a "comforting presence in local rock."
John Harris (dates of birth and death unknown) and his brother Joseph (Joe) Harris (dates of birth and death unknown) were English cricketers in the 1740s and 1750s. They both played for the Addington Cricket Club which had one of the strongest teams in England at the time and for Surrey.
With the Harris brothers playing, the Addington club first came to prominence on 25 July 1743 when its team defeated London Cricket Club at the Artillery Ground by an innings and 4 runs. London made 32 and 74; Addington 110.
John Harris top scored with 47 for Slindon against London in the 1744 match from which the earliest known scorecard has survived. Later that season, both the Harrises played for All-England against Kent in the second match that has a surviving scorecard.
The single wicket form of the game was very popular in the 1740s and the Harris brothers were frequently involved in matches that attracted high stakes, which underlines what good players they were. They continued playing into the 1750s but unfortunately very little is known about them outside contemporary match reports.

His best friend and protector is slightly older Jonathan Ben, better known as The Young Ben (as his father is referred to as The Ben), who is highly regarded as a problem by those in town who see themselves as the moral authority if only because of The Young Ben's association to The Ben, the town still keeper and drunk. Brian's life takes a turn when his parents have to leave town temporarily, while Brian stays on his Uncle Sean's farm. That stint leads to a series of events which make Brian see life around him through slightly older and wiser eyes.

Jake may refer to:
