The former wife of Boutique nightclub owner Darren "Razzle" Thornburgh has been left shaken after shotgun fire peppered her luxury Port Melbourne house in a drive-by shooting in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police say Denise Thornburgh and her teenage daughter were asleep inside the upmarket, cream-coloured home on Beacon Vista, when five shots were fired at their home, about 4.45am.

There were no injuries.
On Tuesday, Fairfax Media revealed that Mr Thornburgh's Prahran nightclub was shot at on Thursday last week.
Detective Sergeant Jason Crawford said there was a link between the Boutique club incident and the Port Melbourne shooting, but the drive by shooting was a "cowardly act" targeting "innocent" bystanders.
"They are totally innocent," Detective Sergeant Crawford said.
"There are substantial links because of the woman who lives here and her relationship with the owner of Boutique."
He said five shots were fired: one into the back screen of the car, two into the garage, one above, and one into the side of the door.
Detective Sergeant Crawford said the woman and her daughter's bedrooms were just above the garage and to the left of a window which was now sporting a large bullet hole.
"Both the bedrooms are upstairs," he said.
"The window that has the large bullet hole is not a bedroom, it is more of a study area.
"[But] they could have been seriously injured, these individuals wouldn't have known. This is what these cowards would do."
He said the perpetrators had acted in an "exceptionally reckless" manner targeting a resident.
Detective Sergeant Crawford said the culprits remained unidentified, and it was unclear how many they were and how they had arrived.
He said there were unconfirmed reports they had arrived in a dark car.
"It is too early in the investigations to say whether it is the same ammunition [as was used in the shooting at the Boutique club]," Detective Sergeant Crawford said.
"It is too early in the investigation to say bikies are involved," he said.
"Echo Taskforce has been notified."
On Wednesday, Mr Thornburgh said police had confirmed that shots had been fired into his club.
CCTV showed a man armed with a shotgun getting out of a car that pulled up outside the club and shooting at the building at least three times.
Damage was caused to the club's front door, window, first-floor window and the first-floor window of the cafe next door.
"I don't believe it's random," Mr Thornburgh said of the club shooting. "But I honestly don't know who it is."
On Friday morning, Inspector Ian Geddes said a possible link between the two shooting episodes were "forming part of the investigation".
He said police were investigating whether "the Boutique shooting and the shooting at Beacon Cove" were connected.
"We don't know what's behind this, it's early in the investigation," he said.
Witnesses saw a dark vehicle leave the scene after the shooting.
James O'Carroll, who lives next door with his family, including three children aged 7, 4 and 2, said they heard "very loud" gun shots.
But he did not see anything as he didn't look out.
"We heard two gun shots, followed by a five-second break, followed by another gunshot, " Mr O'Carroll said.
Another man who said he was a friend of the family, said he believed what had happened was wrong.
"If they had a message to give to the bloke they should give it to him", said the man who gave the name Mr Smith.
"This has got nothing whatsoever to do with these people," Mr Smith said.
"This is not [Darren Thornburgh's] house. This is his ex-wife's and his children's home," he said.
He said he had visited Ms Thornburgh and her daughter after the shooting and said they were OK.
"They are very shaken, but quite good," he said.
Leon Halliburton, who lives 200 metres away, said the incident had not made him worried about his safety.
"I think this is a just a one-off thing related to some other incident elsewhere," Mr Halliburton said.
Forensics and ballistic teams spent much of Friday morning gathering evidence at the house.
