Mandatory Arabic study for 5th and 6th grades in Jewish schools
The Ministry of Education just announced that spoken Arabic will become a mandatory subject for Grades 5 and 6 throughout Israel, starting next year. This follows 12 years of The Abraham Fund's work in the field, bringing spoken Arabic classes to 24,000 students a year. We applaud the Ministry's decision and believe that it has the potential to be the beginning of a revolution in Arabic education for Jewish students. Read our
