EPISODE SUMMARY:
Demeter overprotected her daughter Persephone, who decides to escape and hide in the kingdom of Hades. There, they fall in love but, at the pain of his mother, Persephone plan to return. Hades released in exchange for three months a year pass by his side. Animated series based on the work of Laura Geringer, Myth Men: Guardians of the Legend.

Yay, I'm back and yay I finished this video at last!
Yeah, I wanted to do the whole song and I did have ideas for the rest of it, but my program was giving me hell and I couldn't be arsed to go through it.
Anyhow, for those of you who haven't taken the time to sit down and read a fucking book, here's what you missed on why we have winter, according to Greek Mythology.
STORY: Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, captures the interest of Hades, the God of Death and King of the Underworld. Overwhelmed by his love for her, he takes her from the Upperworld in order to maker her his Queen. It takes time for Persephone to adjust to this new environment, but in time she learns to love the Underworld and eventually falls in love with Hades as he did her. Meanwhile, Persephone's mother, Demeter, the Goddess of Harvest, searches the earth for her daughter, only to find from Zeus that Persephone is in the Underworld with Hades, thus bringing Demeter into mourning and bringing winter upon the earth. Hearing this news from Hermes, Hades comes up with a plan: if anyone eats anything from the Underworld, they are bound to it, so Hades persuades Persephone to eat some seeds from a pomegranate, therefore keeping her for four months of the year as his bride and the rest as Demeter's daugher.

In Greek mythology, Persephone (pronunciation: /ərˈsɛfəniː/, per-SEH-fə-nee; Greek: Περσεφόνη), also called Kore (/ˈkɔəriː/; "the maiden"), is the daughter of Zeus and the harvest-goddess Demeter, and queen of the underworld. Homer describes her as the formidable, venerable majestic queen of the shades, who carries into effect the curses of men upon the souls of the dead. Persephone was abducted by Hades, the god-king of the underworld. The myth of her abduction represents her function as the personification of vegetation which shoots forth in spring and withdraws into the earth after harvest; hence she is also associated with spring and with the seeds of the fruits of the fields. Similar myths appear in the Orient, in the cults of male gods like Attis, Adonis and Osiris, and in Minoan Crete.
Persephone as a vegetation goddess (Kore) and her mother Demeter were the central figures of the Eleusinian mysteries that predated the Olympian pantheon, and promised to the initiated a more enjoyable prospect after death. The mystic Persephone is further said to have become by Zeus the mother of Dionysus, Iacchus, or Zagreus. The origins of her cult are uncertain, but it was based on very old agrarian cults of agricultural communities.

Plot: A boy almost destroys a community with his crime spree. The community arrange a meeting with the police, who prove useless in this matter. They decide to take matters into their own hands. However, before they can act, the boy overdoses on "beanz" and dies. When his sister discovers his body in her flat, the police are already knocking on the door. She knows she will face the blame so arranges with the community to bury the body. At the end of the film their car is stopped by the police, with the boy's body in the boot of the car.

Anyhow, for those of you who haven't taken the time to sit down and read a fucking book, here's what you missed on why we have winter, according to Greek Mythology.
STORY: Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, captures the interest of Hades, the God of Death and King of the Underworld. Overwhelmed by his love for her, he takes her from the Upperworld in order to maker her his Queen. It takes time for Persephone to adjust to this new environment, but in time she learns to love the Underworld and eventually falls in love with Hades as he did her. Meanwhile, Persephone's mother, Demeter, the Goddess of Harvest, searches the earth for her daughter, only to find from Zeus that Persephone is in the Underworld with Hades, thus bringing Demeter into mourning and bringing winter upon the earth. Hearing this news from Hermes, Hades comes up with a plan: if anyone eats anything from the Underworld, they are bound to it, so Hades persuades Persephone to eat some seeds from a pomegranate, therefore keeping her for four months of the year as his bride and the rest as Demeter's daugher.

It takes time for Persephone to adjust to this new environment, but in time she learns to love the Underworld and eventually falls in love with Hades as he did her. Meanwhile, Persephone's mother, Demeter, the Goddess of Harvest, searches the earth for her daughter, only to find from Zeus that Persephone is in the Underworld with Hades, thus bringing Demeter into mourning and bringing winter upon the earth. Hearing this news from Hermes, Hades comes up with a plan: if anyone eats anything from the Underworld, they are bound to it, so Hades persuades Persephone to eat some seeds from a pomegranate, therefore keeping her for four months of the year as his bride and the rest as Demeter's daugher.
