A fire which engulfed a Toyota RAV 4 in flames on Thursday afternoon and damaged surrounding vehicles at a Perth shopping centre car is now under control.
The blaze, according to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, started in the "internals of the car" around 2pm at Kingsway City Shopping Centre in Madeley, and quickly spread.
"At 2.10pm police were on the scene and said the fire was spreading to other cars," a DFES spokesman said.
"The fire was under control by 2.21pm and the Wangara Fire Rescue crew made the area safe by 3.07pm."
It is estimated the fire caused $50,000 damage to the RAV 4 and surrounding cars.
It comes after another Perth vehicle was destroyed by fire in Canning Vale on Wednesday.
The sedan was engulfed in flames in the left lane of Nicholson Road near Roe Highway during the afternoon peak hour.
