Janet Jackson cancels tour to start family
Singer Janet Jackson announces on Twitter she's postponing her world tour to start a family with her husband.
"We thank God for our blessing," she told People, as she posed for a photoshoot cradling her bump.
Last month, Jackson was spotted in London picking up some baby items at Back in Action furniture store.
The younger sister of the late Michael Jackson postponed her Unbreakable world tour in April and took to her social media to explain that it was because she was planning a family and needed "rest".
"We're in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change," Jackson said. "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I'm going to have to delay the tour.
"Please, if you can try and understand it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."
The That's the Way Love Goes singer and seven-time Grammy award winner is notoriously private, unlike the rest of the Jackson family.
She married Al Mana, her third husband, in a "quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony" in 2012, but the nuptials were not revealed until February 2013.
The pop star has opened up in the past about wanting children, and said she would also consider adoption.
"Sure, I'd adopt. And I think that if I'm really supposed to have kids, it will happen, if that's God's plan for me," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2009.
