Hit Bound With Channel One

Deeper Knowledge/Digikiller continue their series of Channel One re-issues with a selection of three 10″ singles and two 7″s out now:

Patrick Andy – Join Me /Self Control Released on a 10″ single. The A side was originally released on a Hitbound 10″ around ’83. The b side is previously unreleased and is on the Revolution rhythm, as used at Channel One for Barrington Levy’s Black Roses. Both sides come complete with their versions.

DRK Dub Irator Sevens

Ebay Tales: dubplate dupes?

An almost regular look at the last seven days of reggae vinyl sales on ebay.

How to make money on ebay – lesson 1. Buy a copy of 7 Inch Auction, an LP released by Peckings in 2004. Take Ska Diap by Glen Brown from the LP, cut it onto a 7″ dubplate for around £20, then sell it on ebay and get £106 ($170) for it.

African Brothers – Lincoln Sugar Minott

Long before the late great Lincoln Sugar Minott struck out as a solo artist he started his recording career in the early 70’s as a member of the vocal trio the African Brothers alongside Derrick Howard (AKA Eric Bubbles) and Tony Tuff.
