Genres: Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi,For well over a decade, Panasonic were renowned for their travel zoom series. These small cameras with big zooms were perfect for travel and family photography, but their small sensors were restrictive for more creative photographers. Now, the new ZS100/TZ100 brings a much larger one inch sensor to the mix, while maintaining a big 10X zoom. Is this the new standard for travel cameras? Following frequent frequents tp produce this series of videos I have put together the introduction to the series and begin by having a look at the intelligent auto mode. I explain what the camera does in iA mode and how to set up various option available in this mode. Included are a few sample images of how good this camera is now Panasonic have re-visited the design of the sensor and implemented true progressive recording at full frame 50 or 60p. notes apertaining to this video tutorial: In the iA mode setting the Motion deblur option to ON will cancel the intelligent zoom operation and the iA zoom range will then stop at x 20. Applies to TZ10/TZ20/TZ27/TZ30/TZ31 ZS7/ZS10/ZS20
Having pioneered the travel compact camera class from the beginning, it’s no surprise that Panasonic is still leading the race with the LUMIX TZ60. This latest-generation travel compact camera introduces an electronic viewfinder as well as raw file support, enhanced video features and a new 30x Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 24–720mm (full-frame-equivalent) zoom lens with an aperture of F3.3-6.4. Sporting an improved hybrid optical image stabiliser for video capture, the TZ60 compensates for camera movement in five directions, making it usable even for hand-held photo and video shooting at long focal lengths. In addition, the TZ60 offers GPS navigation, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity with easy NFC setup, for the benefit of the traveller.
Following the part 6 travel zoom tutorial where I showed my method of attaching filters tto the TZ30 camera there were several requests for a "how to video". This video shows how I produced the filter ring modification.

Exploring the creative mode the camera has for video and stills. In the creative mode the camera gives access to various styles such as 'retro', High key and Low key, Toy camera, Miniature effect, Sepia, Monochrome and soft focus. Each of these modes can be used for either stills or video and have the advantage that exposure compensation can be used in both modes and exposure bracketing uesed in stills mode. Using examples in both still and video I explain the use of each of these creative modes.

The Panasonic GF1(http://bit.ly/PanaGF1) and GF2(http://bit.ly/PanGF2) were popular mirrorless cameras because of their small size and features that attracted enthusiast photographers. But the GF-series has kind of lost its way since then. Where exactly does the GF7(http://bit.ly/GF-7) fit in amongst the GH4(http://bit.ly/PanGH-4) , GM5 (http://bit.ly/PanaGM5) and GX7(http://bit.ly/PanGX7) ? Never get angry at the stupid people
Though I go crazy at the dullness of my life
Sit and I stare into a dusty window
An empty face stares back at me and cries
My vulnerability rushes up to me
'Til I'm left here, the rebel without a cause
And the deeper I delve into
The consciousness of me with you
The harder it gets
I need to close my eyes
What hurts me most
And I'll never see your eyes again
Though I get weary doesn't mean that I'm unwilling
My body belies me, I'm a fertile mind
And as I grow older the world forgets me
And talks to me as if I'm some kind of child
Their insensitivity washes over me
'Til I'm left here, the rebel without a cause
And the deeper I delve into
The consciousness of me and you
The harder it gets
I need to close my eyes
What hurts me most
I'll never see your eyes again
The harder it gets
I need to close my eyes
I can't recollect
I'll never see your eyes again
I try to forget
I'll never see your eyes again
What hurts me most
I'll never see your eyes again
