Janet Jackson announced she was postponing her Unbreakable World Tour earlier this year to start a family and has now officially confirmed she’s expecting.
There has been speculation for months that she is pregnant but she’s finally showed off her bump in an interview with PEOPLE magazine and said, “We thank God for our blessing.”
Posing for the magazine the 50-year-old singer looked radiant wearing all white and cradled her growing belly in the snap.
“She is super excited”
This is the first child for Janet and her husband Wissam Al Mana who married in secret in 2012 before announcing the news publicly the next year.
A close source to the singer previously telling the magazine, “She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well.”
Since announcing she was postponing her tour she has been keeping a low profile although earlier this month was spotted as she left a baby furniture store in London.
Postponing the tour for family
In April she took to social media to post a video for her fans explaining why she was putting performing on hold and said, “I thought it was important that you be the first to know, my husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
The All For You singer and seven-time Grammy award winner is notoriously private, unlike the rest of the Jackson family keeping many of the details of her life to herself.
It’s wonderful news for the singer who will no doubt enjoy the next few months of her journey into motherhood before her little bundle arrives.
