Hi everyone! Hope everything is well with you! I love DIYs myself and this is a tip that I picked up at makeup school so I thought you guys would love it just as much as I do..
If I would compare this DIY setting spray with any other setting spray it would be the Fix + one by MAC simply because this doesn´t really keep your makeup in place all day/night it just makes your makeup look a lot more "skin-like" (not so powdery) .
Setting sprays are expensive and like I said in the video , it´s mainly water so you basically pay for the glycerine + the brand name ha! No but honestly I love to try out different brands and I always use the UD all nighter one or the Slay all day by GC whenever I´m doing something important because I know that my makeup will look flawless for hours! But I truly use this DIY setting spray every day when I don´t want to "waste" the more expensive goodies ;)

So, Makeup Setting Spray 101
-Pretttty much, makeup setting spray is for makeup what hairspray is for hair. Is that even remotely grammatically correct? Microsoft Word did not save me. It doesn't sound right.
-This all came to light after I had already filmed. Doh...
Q: Do I need it?
A: If you want your makeup to hold up much better than usual- example: a night out, a special event, extreme weather conditions, or whenever you wear makeup. I never need to reapply my makeup when I use setting spray. I've lived without setting spray before but I definitely can't imagine it not being in my life now (cue the violins). I'm confident at the end of the day that my face isn't a mess and don't find myself checking the mirror every 30 minutes anymore.
Q: Any recommendations?
A: Be sure to wear your favorite foundation primer before applying your makeup. You can't go wrong with double duty: primer + setting spray = GOLD. Wear WATERPROOF mascara and make sure it's dried all the way before spraying so it doesn't smear. Also, don't be afraid- if you shut your eyes as tight as you possibly can, the setting spray will SET your pinched expression! (Speaking by experience, of course). Relax. Woo-sah. Avoid the scared raccoon look. :-P
Q: How will these setting sprays affect different skin types?
A: Watching people's videos, oily skinned people spray their foundation brush with the setting spray during the makeup process (the setting spray's alcohol properties mixed with foundation will combat oiliness), in conjunction with spraying their whole face after full makeup application. For dry skin (like mine), I'd say to only spray as your last step because I can imagine it has a drying effect if too much is applied. Basically, oily and dry skinned girls can both benefit from setting sprays. :-)

Setting spray
Setting spray (also finishing spray, makeup setting spray, finish spray, or makeup spray) is a cosmetic product designed to preserve applied make-up long periods of time. Usually sold in small spray bottles, setting spray is applied by spritzing mist over the face, keeping the make-up application moist for several hours.
Industry
Originally produced for the entertainment industry by cosmetic companies, setting sprays were developed to limit make-up reapplication for actors in theatre and film.
Cosmetic company Skindinavia released a consumer-facing setting spray to the market, credited as being the first to do so. The product, called Makeup Finishing Spray, gained popularity in Hollywood, where it was used on programs such as Project Runway and Dancing With The Stars. Many celebrities adopted the use of setting sprays as well.
Since Skindinavia's launch, many other setting sprays have entered the market, including products made by Eyes Lips Face (J.A. Cosmetics Corp), Matrix, and Sephora.

First, THANK YOU to all of you who continuously support me. Second, HELLO to everyone who just found me. :-) Congratulations to palilovergirl101 for winning my Seasons Box giveaway! So, Makeup Setting Spray 101 -Pretttty much, makeup setting spray is for makeup what hairspray is for hair. Is that even remotely grammatically correct? Microsoft Word did not save me. It doesn't sound right. -This all came to light after I had already filmed. Doh... Q: Do I need it? A: If you want your makeup to hold up much better than usual- example: a night out, a special event, extreme weather conditions, or whenever you wear makeup. I never need to reapply my makeup when I use setting spray. I've lived without setting spray before but I definitely can't imagine it not being in my life now (cue the violins). I'm confident at the end of the day that my face isn't a mess and don't find myself checking the mirror every 30 minutes anymore. Q: Any recommendations? A: Be sure to wear your favorite foundation primer before applying your makeup. You can't go wrong with double duty: primer + setting spray = GOLD. Wear WATERPROOF mascara and make sure it's dried all the way before spraying so it doesn't smear. Also, don't be afraid- if you shut your eyes as tight as you possibly can, the setting spray will SET your pinched expression! (Speaking by experience, of course). Relax. Woo-sah. Avoid the scared raccoon look. :-P Q: How will these setting sprays affect different skin types? A: Watching people's videos, oily skinned people spray their foundation brush with the setting spray during the makeup process (the setting spray's alcohol properties mixed with foundation will combat oiliness), in conjunction with spraying their whole face after full makeup application. For dry skin (like mine), I'd say to only spray as your last step because I can imagine it has a drying effect if too much is applied. Hi everyone! Hope everything is well with you! I love DIYs myself and this is a tip that I picked up at makeup school so I thought you guys would love it just as much as I do.. If I would compare this DIY setting spray with any other setting spray it would be the Fix + one by MAC simply because this doesn´t really keep your makeup in place all day/night it just makes your makeup look a lot more "skin-like" (not so powdery) . Setting sprays are expensive and like I said in the video , it´s mainly water so you basically pay for the glycerine + the brand name ha! Hi everyone! Hope everything is well with you! I love DIYs myself and this is a tip that I picked up at makeup school so I thought you guys would love it just as much as I do..
If I would compare this DIY setting spray with any other setting spray it would be the Fix + one by MAC simply because this doesn´t really keep your makeup in place all day/night it just makes your makeup look a lot more "skin-like" (not so powdery) .
Setting sprays are expensive and like I said in the video , it´s mainly water so you basically pay for the glycerine + the brand name ha! No but honestly I love to try out different brands and I always use the UD all nighter one or the Slay all day by GC whenever I´m doing something important because I know that my makeup will look flawless for hours! But I truly use this DIY setting spray every day when I don´t want to "waste" the more expensive goodies ;)

So, Makeup Setting Spray 101
-Pretttty much, makeup setting spray is for makeup what hairspray is for hair. Is that even remotely grammatically correct? Microsoft Word did not save me. It doesn't sound right.
-This all came to light after I had already filmed. Doh...
Q: Do I need it?
A: If you want your makeup to hold up much better than usual- example: a night out, a special event, extreme weather conditions, or whenever you wear makeup. I never need to reapply my makeup when I use setting spray. I've lived without setting spray before but I definitely can't imagine it not being in my life now (cue the violins). I'm confident at the end of the day that my face isn't a mess and don't find myself checking the mirror every 30 minutes anymore.
Q: Any recommendations?
A: Be sure to wear your favorite foundation primer before applying your makeup. You can't go wrong with double duty: primer + setting spray = GOLD. Wear WATERPROOF mascara and make sure it's dried all the way before spraying so it doesn't smear. Also, don't be afraid- if you shut your eyes as tight as you possibly can, the setting spray will SET your pinched expression! (Speaking by experience, of course). Relax. Woo-sah. Avoid the scared raccoon look. :-P
Q: How will these setting sprays affect different skin types?
A: Watching people's videos, oily skinned people spray their foundation brush with the setting spray during the makeup process (the setting spray's alcohol properties mixed with foundation will combat oiliness), in conjunction with spraying their whole face after full makeup application. For dry skin (like mine), I'd say to only spray as your last step because I can imagine it has a drying effect if too much is applied. Basically, oily and dry skinned girls can both benefit from setting sprays. :-)

Please subscribe for more. In this video we go through how to set up a paint gun, how to connect it to a compressor, and what components are necessary for it to function properly. For the most part I use a Devilbiss Finishline paint gun in this video. I also show you a protools gun, which I often use for lacquer. Although I generally use a large shop compressor, he unit featured in this video is a porter-cable and should be sufficient to run a paint gun smoothly. In this video we go through how to set up a paint gun, how to connect it to a compressor, and what components are necessary for it to function properly.
For the most part I use a Devilbiss Finishline paint gun in this video. I also show you a protools gun, which I often use for lacquer. Although I generally use a large shop compressor, he unit featured in this video is a porter-cable and should be sufficient to run a paint gun smoothly.
