FREYCINET PENINSULA NATIONAL PARK is Tasmania's most popular and the majority of tourists come for the renowned Wineglass Bay's spectacular beauty. But venture further and you'll be richly rewarded with more stunning coastal vistas and some world-class rock climbing. On the east coast of Tasmania's Freycinet Peninsula, the Tasman Sea is surging, showering the granite cliffs of White Water Wall. Bob McMahon dips a hand in his chalk bag, and a puff of powder disappears into the spray. He begins to climb, moving easily, his hands and feet drawn to holds by years of familiarity. "This is my regenerative place," Bob says. "On sunny days here, I think that when climbers die, this'll be the heaven they go to. If you were going to choose a climbing area to spend paradise in, this would do fine....
Sleepy Bay on the Freycinet Peninsula of Tasmania has some stunning scenery. Incredible caves, beautiful boulders, striking blue water and soft warm sand to snooze on. Background music is Smile Quiet Looking Up by Puddle of Infinity.
A great experience to sit in sea kayaks 'playing' with a pod of about 20 dolphins, just off Cooks Beach on the East Tasmanian coast at Freycinet Peninsula

Early Morning - looking across Great Oyster Bay to Freycinet Peninsula - a very unusual lighting - magical!
The four of us walked the 30km Freycinet Circuit from 27-30 November 2015. Would highly recommend this walk! The first day saw us walk from the Wineglass Bay Carpark to Cooks Beach; a total of 12km. Song: R.E.M - The Great Beyond
It's spring break so I decided to go on a 3-day bushwalking trip with the club to Freycinet National Park to do the Freycinet Peninsular Circuit. It was my first time camping 'for real' outdoors and it was actually better than what I had expected! I guess most of it is because of the awesome weather - it was clear all 3 days when we thought it was going to rain according to forecasts! Day 1 (~13km) We started walking from the carpark to Hazards Beach to have our lunch at the beach then we continued our walk to Cooks Beach to set up our tent for the night. It's good that they even have a hut over there and a rainwater collection tank so it was pretty convenient! Day 2 (~13km) The second day I woke up, my shoulders were starting to show some little signs of sore and pain from carrying the...

An awesome experience through Freycinet NP to Cape Tourville Lighthouse. See the totally panoramic views incl. Freycinet Peninsula's sea cliffs and glimpses of Wineglass Bay, also stopping in on the untouched Friendly Beach. Thank you All 4 Adventures for a great day!
Big thanks to Stephen A for sharing his video of his time on the Freycinet Peninsula with us. A perfect few days of relaxing, swimming and kayaking with Freycinet Adventures
Saffire Freycinet is located mid-way along Tasmania's beautiful East Coast, just two and a half hours' scenic drive from Hobart and two hours' drive from Launceston . The Freycinet Peninsula took over 400 million years to form into two massive, eroded blocks of granite, now known as the Hazards mountains and Mt Graham/Mt Freycinet. These granite monoliths are tenuously joined by a sand isthmus, which spans the celebrated Wineglass Bay and Hazards Beach.
