Sasha - Xpander (Deconstruction) (show is incomplete, currently) - this will get re-upped later when it's complete Show information: INTERPHASE was an Electronic Music / Electronica radio show that started in 1997 on the college radio station 89.3 WHSN (Bangor, Maine) and ended in 2001 on the major radio station The Bridge 107.7 (Bar Harbor, Maine) before it was sold the same year. The show did not focus on any specific genre, every genre and subgenre was covered at some point. There were over 3500 different tracks played in the 4 years the show ran. Phase 2 was a brief title change after we had a brief few month hiatus, the show was still Interphase, but for those who followed it, this was Phase 2 of the show as we approached show 100. Interphase was "mixed" by myself Forte (known throughout the majority of the show's lifespan as DJ Savage) but this was a radio show, so the only mixing equipment was 2 CD players, 1 turntable, and 1 mixing board with no pitch control. So the mixing had to be basically Slam and Blend only. Trying to beat match with no pitch control created some train wrecks, and my mixing was never that great, but when blending or slam mixing the show sounded decent. Interphase may not have been perfect, or professional, but the show was pretty damn cool. It was unlike any other show on the radio in the USA during that time period because I was a student of Electronic Music and had started collecting the music since 1990 so I had a massive collection built for the radio that would only get bigger. Interphase debuted artists like Daft Punk, Stardust and Basement Jaxx long before anyone else in the USA also. I made sure to get the tracks directly from the imported vinyl or CD's and not wait for the domestic releases. The show introduced Anjunabeats for the first time ever in the USA in 2000 also when they were complete unknowns. We also played a ton of artists and tracks that probably still to this day have never been played in the USA on any other radio station. There were guest DJ's on the show also like DJ Gray (Jungle, Drum & Bass) and DJ Skott (Eurodance, Trance) - both could mix like pro's - DJ Gray used 2 turntables, while DJ Skott used his CDJ's. DJ Gray joined the show full time in 2000 and had a ton of memorable Drum & Bass mixes. Most of the music played was my own but some advance music was sent to me directly from labels like Moonshine and Astralwerks among many others. The show had some listeners, that was evident from the great response we got online, but ultimately Electronic Music was not popular in the USA back then so it was tough trying to promote my radio show during that time period. Still it was cool when we got requests over the net to peeps in different countries who were listening to the show each week via real audio or shoutcast stream. The Bridge 107.7 FM had cool shows, and a playlist formatted to whatever they wanted to play, that included Electronic Music which caught my attention and helped me find a way to get Interphase on there every Saturday night from 10pm-2am or later. That was unheard of from ANY major radio station in the USA, they played stuff like Fluke and The Crystal Method just as part of the every day playlist. They even used "Trip Like I Do" by TCM as their weather update music. It was sadly sold in February of 2001. this video is not intended to infringe upon copyrights, this is simply an old radio show
