The story of Christmas is the story of the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God made flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit through Mary, a virgin.
Without the virgin birth of Christ there is no miracle, no Savior, no no substitutionary atonement, no blood sacrifice worthy enough to cleanse sins, and no salvation for man.
But by God's providence and divine will, Jesus, who was of the lineage of David, in fulfillment of numerous prophecies, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, fully God and fully man, without sin, existing eternally in heaven yet incarnate in the flesh, the Second distinct but co-equal Person of the Godhead.
The birth of Jesus is the divine proclamation of "good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people" (Luke 2:10), as the Gospel was opened unto all people everywhere, Jew and Gentile alike. The birth of Jesus meant the death, burial, and subsequent resurrection of Jesus. It meant salvation and everlasting life "to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12).
The story of Christmas is ultimately the story of John 3:16, God's "peace" and "good will toward men": "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

A debate on the "Hebrew Roots Movement".
The Bible teaches that there are two separate covenants, the old and the new, the first and the second, but the Hebrew Roots Cult wants to place Christians under bondage to the Law of Moses. They claim that there is only one covenant and that it has been "renewed".
But the Bible teaches that Christians are now under the new covenant and that there is a difference between the covenants, namely that Jesus Himself is our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek and that we are no longer under the Levitical priesthood of Aaron.
Hebrews 7:11-12:
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
The old covenant anticipated Jesus and foreshadowed Him, but under the new covenant, we have Jesus Himself. So why would anyone want to go back to the ritual symbols of our faith, rather than to the One whom it all pointed towards?

Jesus (/ˈdʒiːzəs/; Greek: Ἰησοῦς Iesous; 7–2 BC to AD 30–33), also referred to as Jesus of Nazareth or Jesus Christ, is the central figure of Christianity, whom the teachings of most Christian denominations hold to be the Son of God. After Jesus' death, his followers believed he was resurrected, and the community they formed eventually became the Christian church. The widely used calendar era, abbreviated as "AD" from the Latin "Anno Domini" ("in the year of our Lord") or sometimes as "CE", is based on the birth of Jesus. His birth is celebrated annually on December 25 as a holiday known as Christmas.

Hebrew Roots
Hebrew Roots is a Christian religious movement that advocates the return and adherence to the first century walk of faith and obedience to the Torah by Jesus (known as Yeshua HaMashiach, the Hebrew name for "Jesus the Messiah") by seeking a better understanding of the culture, history, and religio-political backdrop of that era which led to the core differences with both the Jewish, and later, the Christian communities.
Joseph Good provides a good summary of religio-political history: “To support the Jewish people, or even Jewish customs, was interpreted as not being loyal to Rome…pressure was being put on Jewish believers from three sides: first, from the non-believing pagans who hated anything Jewish; second, from the non-believing Jews who feared their power among the people; and third, within their own congregations by the new gentile believers who were entering the faith already affected by the rampant anti-semitism.”
Pastor Matthew Vander Els affirms that the term Hebrew Roots does not indicate a denomination, but a mindset of a non-denominational Christian seeking to "emulate Christ as much as humanly possible".

Chandra Levy
Chandra Ann Levy (April 14, 1977 – c. May 1, 2001) was an American intern at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, D.C., who disappeared in May 2001. She was presumed murdered after her skeletal remains were found in Rock Creek Park in May 2002. The case attracted attention from the American news media for years.
The police investigation revealed she was having an affair with Congressman Gary Condit, a married Democrat then serving his fifth term representing California's 18th congressional district, and a senior member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Condit was never named as a suspect by police and was eventually cleared of involvement. However, after a cloud of suspicion was raised by the intense media focus on the missing intern and the later revelation of the affair, he was not re-elected in 2002, with the Levy issue cited as a contributory factor.
The circumstances surrounding Levy's death were unclear for eight years. On March 3, 2009, D.C. authorities obtained a warrant to arrest Ingmar Guandique, an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador. He had been convicted of assaulting two other women in Rock Creek Park around the time of Levy's disappearance. Prosecutors alleged that Guandique had attacked and tied up Levy in a remote area of the park and left her to die of dehydration or exposure. In November 2010 Guandique was convicted of murdering Levy; he was sentenced in February 2011 to 60 years in prison. In June 2015, Guandique was granted a new trial in March 2016 on appeal.

The story of Christmas is the story of the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God made flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit through Mary, a virgin.
Without the virgin birth of Christ there is no miracle, no Savior, no no substitutionary atonement, no blood sacrifice worthy enough to cleanse sins, and no salvation for man.
But by God's providence and divine will, Jesus, who was of the lineage of David, in fulfillment of numerous prophecies, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, fully God and fully man, without sin, existing eternally in heaven yet incarnate in the flesh, the Second distinct but co-equal Person of the Godhead.
The birth of Jesus is the divine proclamation of "good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people" (Luke 2:10), as the Gospel was opened unto all people everywhere, Jew and Gentile alike. The birth of Jesus meant the death, burial, and subsequent resurrection of Jesus. It meant salvation and everlasting life "to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12).
The story of Christmas is ultimately the story of John 3:16, God's "peace" and "good will toward men": "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

The Bible teaches that there are two separate covenants, the old and the new, the first and the second, but the Hebrew Roots Cult wants to place Christians under bondage to the Law of Moses. They claim that there is only one covenant and that it has been "renewed".
But the Bible teaches that Christians are now under the new covenant and that there is a difference between the covenants, namely that Jesus Himself is our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek and that we are no longer under the Levitical priesthood of Aaron.
Hebrews 7:11-12:
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
The old covenant anticipated Jesus and foreshadowed Him, but under the new covenant, we have Jesus Himself. So why would anyone want to go back to the ritual symbols of our faith, rather than to the One whom it all pointed towards?

When people speak of “knowing” Jesus, they refer to having a relationship with Him. Being a Christian is more than knowing about Jesus; being a Christian is knowing Him personally. Jesus spoke of the need to know the Savior when He prayed, “This is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3).
Many people have wondered if Jesus really loves them. The Bible is clear that no matter what we have done, Jesus does love us. In fact, He promises to both forgive us of every wrong we have done and provide us eternal life if only we will believe in Him: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
Romans 5:8 says, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Before we were even born, God sent His only Son Jesus to die on our behalf to give us the opportunity for eternal life. This amazing gift comes to us because of His wonderful grace toward us: “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). We don’t have to earn His love; we simply accept it.
It may be difficult to believe Jesus loves you because of other people who have let you down in the past. However, Jesus is unlike any other person; He is God in human form (John 1:14). He was involved in creating us, He sustains our every breath, and He offers us new life now and eternal life in heaven with Him.
Another reason it may be difficult to accept the truth that Jesus loves you is that something you have done in the past troubles you. Jesus already knows your past and still offers you eternal life and forgiveness. A wonderful example of His love can be found in His last hours on the cross. One of the men crucified next to Him was being put to death for his crimes. Turning to Jesus, he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, saying, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:42–43). Despite this criminal’s sins, Jesus accepted his simple and sincere act of faith and promised him eternity in heaven—even though Jesus knew the man had no time to live his life differently.
When we ask, “How much does Jesus love me?” we only need to look at the cross. He stretched out His hands and said, “I love you this much.” He gave His life to give you new life.
You can pray to receive Jesus as your Savior right now and accept His love and eternal life. There is no special prayer to pray, but you can respond with a prayer similar to this:
“Dear God, I realize I am a sinner and could never reach heaven by my own good deeds. Right now I place my faith in Jesus Christ as God’s Son who rose from the dead to give me eternal life. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to live for you. Thank you for accepting me and giving me eternal life.”
